Wine Tasting in Oregon in the Rain! | My Oregon Adventures
The fam went wine tasting in the rain this past weekend, but still had a blast! ☔️????????
Wine tasting in Oregon is one of my favorite things to do in Oregon.. mostly because of how incredibly beautiful it is! (and it helps that the wine is delicious too????). We mostly go wine tasting in Willamette Valley vineyards, and this time we hit 4 wineries:
-Alloro Vineyards
-Alexana Winery
-Elevee Winegrowers
-Dusky Goose Winery
If you’re looking for fun things to do in Oregon, I highly suggest Oregon wine tasting! Even if you’re not a fan of wine, these wineries are fun places to go in Oregon.. The gorgeous drive alone is worth it if you ask me! AND you don’t have to drive far.. Can you believe this is wine tasting near Portland?! We live in a magical place.????
If you're new to my channel.. Hi!!!???? I'm Chloe Leatherwood! I’m a Portland Youtuber living in Oregon and chasing anything I feel passionate about while I make videos of my Oregon adventures! If you'd like to see more, my social media is here:

OREGON WINE - TOP PLACES to go WINE TASTING????- vlog
In this video, we are in search of the best wineries in Oregon. We travel to the Tualatin Valley Wine Region, which is only 35 minutes from Portland and is internationally renowned for their Pinot Noir and rural rustic landscapes.
The Tualatin Valley is one of the best day trips from Portland with over 700 wineries and counting. The hospitality of the wineries, natural setting, and exquisite wines make it a must-see destination.
We visit in August, which the perfect time to visit because the grapes have color and are almost ready for harvest. Wine harvest season usually occurs in September through October.

Touring Oregon Wineries || Stoller tasting room || Por Que No!?!?!
We are a family of 5 from Texas. We are ditched suburbia life and we are heading to live on a sailboat. Follow along as we learn what we are doing. This will be a great adventure.
Last week we adventured through Portland, playing downtown and driving through the Columbia River Gorge to explore Multnomah Falls and the Bonneville dam.
Today we went on our first ever wine tour. My friend Heather and her hubby took us around to 3 different wineries. Argyle, Dobbs, and Stoller. Stoller is the #1 wine tasting room in the US, according to USA today in 2018.
After the wineries we went to dinner at Por Que No? in Portland, it was a great Mexican Restaurant. Followed by Rimskies Desert. What a great hole in the wall. We all got amazing. deserts.
Watch for a real time update on Monday!!!!!
We will update you on the cats, the kids, the boat shopping, the move and what we are going to do to make a living.
Thank you for following along. We will post updates every Friday. Please subscribe to keep up to date.

Amtrak Coast Starlight, in a Sleeper Car Bedroom
The overnight 14 Coast Starlight (Amtrak) from Los Angeles to Seattle.
--3 states
--1,377 miles
--36 hours
--29 stops (a few afford a chance for some fresh air, for a few minutes)
--incalculable jaw drops at the beauty seen from along the ocean coastline to the snowy mountain ranges and backdoor views of towns and cities.
I can't recommend this enough! What an experience! What a way to see the country! The whole ride was smooth, quiet, and tranquil. Whether you enjoy a book in the glass-domed car while sipping on some coffee, or nurse a beer through the passing majesty outside your window, you are rocked gently into a relaxation that is unlike any other. The staff was ever ready to accommodate needs and/or wants. Guest speakers rode along, regaling passengers with tales of the flora, fauna, and history of the areas. Fellow passengers were in equal states of awe and wonder, evidenced by the acknowledging head tilts complete with twinkling eyes and hearty grins. Childhood fancy was stirred together with an aged appreciation and I found that though we were moving northward, time had stood still.
Note: Yes...I have since learned to refrain from filming in portrait mode, when using a phone. ????
Note: Thank you, all, who have clarified that it's a Lounge Car featured in this video, not an actual Parlour Car. I did not intend to mislead anyone; during our ride, the staff and fellow passengers were calling it the Parlour Car, and I was at fault for following the flock in my understanding. Our train's Parlour Car must have been undergoing maintenance, at the time. I did find, however, the Lounge Car to be quite enjoyable. Nevertheless, I imagine riding with an official Parlour Car would enhance the experience, greatly. Thank you all, for clarifying this, for me and for others.
Note: for mobile device viewers, annotations don't appear on-screen. At the 2:28 mark, it should be noted that There is a traditional door on this bathroom; it's just not visible, here.
