Hong Kong Ap Lei Chau (Chinese: 鴨脷洲),
Ap Lei Chau (Chinese: 鴨脷洲), formerly Aberdeen Island, is an island of Hong Kong, located off Hong Kong Island, next to Aberdeen Harbour and Aberdeen Channel, with an area of 1.30 square kilometres (0.50 sq mi).[2] Administratively, it is part of Southern District. Ap Lei Chau is the second most densely populated island in the world.
Ap Lei Chau and Hong Kong Island are connected by the four lane Ap Lei Chau road bridge. Opened in 1983, it originally only had two lanes, and was widened to four in 1994.
Buses are the main form of transport for the residents in Ap Lei Chau. There are five bus termini in total on the island:
Ap Lei Chau Estate
Ap Lei Chau Industrial Estate
Ap Lei Chau Main Street
Lei Tung Estate
South Horizons
Green minibuses and taxis are available.
There is a regular sampan service running between Ap Lei Chau Main Street and Aberdeen. (Service hours: 6am-12am)
The MTR South Island Line opened on December 28, 2016 links Admiralty of Hong Kong Island to Ap Lei Chau by Aberdeen Channel Bridge. There are two stations on the island: Lei Tung (for Lei Tung Estate and Ap Lei Chau Main Street) and South Horizons (for South Horizons, Ap Lei Chau Estate and Ap Lei Chau Industrial Estate) serving the development of the same name.

Welcome to our Hong Kong Walking Tour in Ap Lei Chau, in the infamous iconic Jumbo Kingdom Marina in Aberdeen. Many a movies have been made here and many tourist videos over the years.
'Jumbo Kingdom (Chinese: 珍寶王國; literally: 'Treasure Kingdom') consists of the Jumbo Floating Restaurant (珍寶海鮮舫) and the adjacent Tai Pak Floating Restaurant (太白海鮮舫), are renowned tourist attractions in Aberdeen South Typhoon Shelter, within Hong Kong's Aberdeen Harbour. Over 30 million visitors have visited Jumbo Kingdom, including Queen Elizabeth II, John Wayne, Chad Garvin, David Bowie, Tom Cruise, Gwyneth Paltrow, Chow Yun Fat, Stephen Chow and Gong Li.[1] There was also a Jumbo Kingdom Manila in Manila Bay, Philippines, but it was closed after 8 years of operation. Jumbo Kingdom is part of Melco International Development Limited, a company listed in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Floating restaurants appeared in the typhoon shelter shortly after World War II. The Sea Palace Floating Restaurant (海角皇宮) was sold and towed to Australia.[2]
The Tai Pak Floating Restaurant was established in 1952.[3]
On 30 October 1971,[3] a 4-alarm fire occurred at the Jumbo Floating Restaurant before its opening which left 34 dead and 42 injured.[4][2][5][6]
The Jumbo Kingdom was established in October 1976 by Stanley Ho after four years and over HK$30 million were spent to design and build it.[1] It was originally decorated in the style of an ancient Chinese imperial palace.
In 2000, two tugboats brought one of the floating barges (Palace) from the Aberdeen Harbour to the mouth of Manila Bay, and it was rebranded as the Jumbo Kingdom Manila. Much of the original ancient Chinese imperial palace style renovation was retained. The Manila restaurant closed in 2008.
The Jumbo Kingdom went through a major multimillion-dollar renovation in 2003.

Popular culture
The Jumbo Floating Restaurant appears in Jackie Chan's The Protector (1985),[2] The God of Cookery (1996),[8] Godzilla vs Destroyah[9] and Infernal Affairs II.[8]
The Tai Pak Floating Restaurant was featured in the 1955 Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing[3] and the 1973 Enter the Dragon.[3]
The Sea Palace, another floating restaurant located in the same area, was featured in the 1960 The World of Suzie Wong, Enter the Dragon,[3] Bons baisers de Hong Kong (1975), James Bond film The Man With The Golden Gun (1974), and Contagion (2011).
It is shown in The Amazing Race 17, Leg 10. It has also featured on the first season of the Australian version of The Amazing Race and some openings of The Amazing Race Asia.
The British miniseries Noble House shows the compound being destroyed by a fire.
The video game Sleeping Dogs features a mission set in a floating restaurant based on the Jumbo Floating Restaurant in a semi-fictionalized version of Hong Kong.'

Cape Collinson Hong Kong
Cape Collinson
(Chinese: 歌連臣角), also Hak Kok Tau (黑角頭), is a cape located near Ngan Wan between Siu Sai Wan and Big Wave Bayat the eastmost point of Hong Kong Island. It faces Tathong Channel.
This place is very beautiful, and the place is also hidden.
To get to the destination we also have to climb the fence because there is no way to get there. But all that is very exciting though full of challenges.

SAMPAN Boat Tour Hong Kong in Aberdeen Harbour, Hong Kong *Part 2 of 2*
We took a fun sampan boat tour around Aberdeen Harbour in Hong Kong today. It was super fun!
A visit to Hong Kong isn’t complete without a ride on a sampan. Head to the Aberdeen Promenade along the southwestern shoreline of Hong Kong Island and hop aboard a sampan, one of the small local boats operated mostly by elderly Tanka and Hoklo women who hail from the traditional boat-dwelling seafaring community. For the equivalent of about $10 per person, get a 30-minute ride around Aberdeen Harbour, under Ap Lei Chau Bridge, and past the other junks, houseboats, trawlers, fancy yachts, and even giant cargo vessels and cruise ships. For a voyage with a bit more emphasis on sightseeing, try one of the two popular red-sailed junks—the historic 36-passenger Duk Ling and the replica 80-passenger Aqua Luna—that can be boarded either from the Tsim Sha Tsui Piers or Central Pier 9.
Aberdeen, located on the south coast of Hong Kong Island, was one of the first places British troops came ashore in 1841 and was named after the 4th Earl of Aberdeen, George Hamilton-Gordon, British Secretary of State for War and the Colonies. Its Chinese name is “Heung Gong Tsai” meaning “little fragrant harbour” with “fragrant” being a reference to incense wood for burning in worship which was grown in the New Territories, collected at Tsim Sha Tsui and then sent in junks to Aberdeen for export. The name was later anglicised and Hong Kong became the name by which the whole territory is now known. It currently has a population of about 60,000 and is the largest town on Hong Kong Island. The town is sheltered by the small densely populated island of Ap Lei Chau to which it has been connected by bridge since 1983.
Hong Kong to/from China Border Crossing Guide
Oh, the Hong Kong and China border. How I love thee! Are you crossing the border? I have crossed the Hong Kong border up to four times per week at certain times.
There are people whose lives are spent crossing back and forth between Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and even Guangzhou. Even children, going to school each day, cross early in the morning, normally about 7:30 am to 8:30 am – you will see massive lines of children lining up with teachers or school assistants to help them get into Hong Kong to go to school. I don’t believe there are any students going the other way (Hong Kong into Shenzhen), so this tells you which side has the better education system.

Exploring HONG KONG's best roads ! HK Curveshunting
Last month, I spent two days exploring Hong Kong's finest roads !
HK is such a special place, a small independent territory on Chinese coast home to an incredible car culture. A crazy mix of japanese imported cars , classics and crazy expensive supercar. All that driving on stuning mountain roads only a few kilometers away of the most densely populated city in the world.
A massive thanks to Llm3500i for showing me around in his crazy alfas :
Hope you'll enjoy it, subscribe, if you did and follow us on Instagram and facebook for more content !

DJI Phantom 4 at Tsing Ma Bridge Hong Kong 4K
Tsing Ma Bridge is a bridge in Hong Kong. It is the world's ninth-longest span suspension bridge, and was the second longest at time of completion. The bridge was named after two of the islands at its ends, namely Tsing Yi and Ma Wan. It has two decks and carries both road and rail traffic, which also makes it the largest suspension bridge of this type. The bridge has a main span of 1,377 metres (4,518 ft) and a height of 206 metres (676 ft). The span is the largest of all bridges in the world carrying rail traffic.

AP LEI CHAU(LEI TUNG)
If you want to hike Ap Lei Chau, you will be hiking on either Mt. Johnston or Ap Lei Pai. Both are coastal ridge walks, and both will afford you GORGEOUS coastal views of the South China Sea. If you’re feeling strong, you can even hike both! No matter what you choose, you’re going to be awestruck by Hong Kong’s coastal beauty. And just to clarify, while you don’t technically ‘hike Ap Lei Chau’ itself, we use this phrase throughout our article as it’s easier than always saying ‘hike Mt. Johnston and Ap Lei Pai in Ap Lei Chau’.
Regardless how we write about taking a hike in Ap Lei Chau, don’t be fooled into thinking they are easy hikes since they are quite short. Both Mt. Johnston and Ap Lei Pai pack quite a punch in terms of steepness and slippery loose gravel terrain. Don’t worry too much though, they also reward you with BREATHTAKING ocean views of Lamma Island and the South China Sea from one of Hong Kong’s most southerly points. And if you’re keen for a swim, you can take one from the land bridge connecting Mt. Johnston and Ap Lei Pai. This hike has it all, so if you’re an intermediate/advanced hiker you’ll NOT want to miss it!
