We went to Atlantic City, NJ for the 4th of July. We stayed in luxury at Caesars, enjoyed our days on the beach and boardwalk and the evenings at Steel pier on rides then watching fireworks on the beach. We also toured Ripley's Believe it or Not and Atlantic City Miniature Golf, all of this was on the boardwalk. We had so much fun we may make this a 4th of July tradition. Tip: the Tropicana puts on fireworks displays throughout the summer, check their schedule.

This video is a highlight of our trip down to Ocean City NJ as well as some of the activities we did at the Ocean City NJ Boardwalk and Beach. We started with some shopping at It's Sugar and then went to the amusement park that is at the north end of the Ocean City NJ Boardwalk. Gillian's is an amusement part that has been a staple of the boardwalk in Ocean City for decades. It has a wide range of rides from those for the youngest of kids, Carousel and slow fun rides to Music Express and tea cups to just plain fun stuff like bumper cars, log flume and a 140' free fall ride. We stopped at Rita's, a famous Italian Ice store in the Northeast, before playing some mini golf.
Miniature Golf can be found up and down the Ocean City NJ Boardwalk. A couple of our favorites are the Haunted Golf and Goofy Golf. We have turned those mini golf rounds into two separate videos. There were some good matches between myself (Evan) and Timmy and also between my dad (AGolfersWalk) and I. Be sure to check out his golf channel at the link below:

Ocean City is on New Jersey's coastal Jersey Shore. The city has a string of beaches and a boardwalk with shops, eateries and amusement parks. Gillian’s Wonderland Pier offers classic rides like the Giant Wheel. Playland’s Castaway Cove features several roller coasters and themed mini-golf. To the south, Corson’s Inlet State Park, with trails and a boat launch, attracts shorebirds to its dunes and wetlands.
Ocean City originated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on May 3, 1884, from portions of Upper Township, based on results from a referendum on April 30, 1884, and was reincorporated as a borough on March 31, 1890. Ocean City was incorporated as a city, its current government form, on March 25, 1897. The city is named for its location on the Atlantic Ocean.
Known as a family-oriented seaside resort, Ocean City has prohibited the sale of alcoholic beverages within its limits since its founding in 1879, offering miles of guarded beaches, a boardwalk that stretches for 2.5 miles (4.0 km), and a downtown shopping and dining district. The Travel Channel rated Ocean City as the Best Family Beach of 2005. It was ranked the third-best beach in New Jersey in the 2008 Top 10 Beaches Contest sponsored by the New Jersey Marine Sciences Consortium. In the 2009 Top 10 Beaches Contest, Ocean City ranked first.

Wildwood NJ / WMGM 40 News Segment From 1989 featuring Duffer's Challenge
This short segment aired in 1989 on WMGM NewsCenter 40. The story features Duffer's Challenge Miniature Golf Course and shows a brief view of how the enduring attraction appeared at the time. One of the highlights focuses on the final hole - the Jaws Challenge. That huge shark stunt was created by Freddy Mahana and his company Alchemist Design, and is well remembered by anyone who frequented Duffer's. Jaws was removed years ago when the owners remolded the mini golf course. Special thanks to Jack Hess for providing this footage.

Biking The Ocean City New Jersey Boardwalk
Here are video clips set to music of my bike ride on the Ocean City, New Jersey Boardwalk on September 11th 2015. The video shows the different locations of interest with the family. You will see the mini golf courses, music pier and the 2 boardwalk amusement parks. The one mini golf course that I passed up was Medieval Fantasy and it's the best on the boardwalk. Also at one point you see me wave, I was waving to this one guy who waved and talked to me at the Ocean Front Motel. He got his few seconds of fame...lol. Another thing I thought was neat was passing up some kid with a superman cape around his shirt while he was riding. I created this video with the YouTube Video Editor (
