Williamsport Pa Seventh-Day Adventist Church
The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a Protestant Christian denomination distinguished by its observance of Saturday, the seventh day of the week in Christian and Jewish calendars, as the Sabbath, and by its emphasis on the imminent Second Coming (advent) of Jesus Christ. The denomination grew out of the Millerite movement in the United States during the mid-19th century and was formally established in 1863. Among its founders was Ellen G. White, whose extensive writings are still held in high regard by the church.
Much of the theology of the Seventh-day Adventist Church corresponds to common Protestant Christian teachings, such as the Trinity and the infallibility of Scripture. Distinctive teachings include the unconscious state of the dead and the doctrine of an investigative judgment. The church is known for its emphasis on diet and health, its holistic understanding of the person,promotion of religious liberty, and its conservative principles and lifestyle.

Choir of First Congregational Church Sings Alleluhia
Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017 the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Portland, Oregon sings the Alleluhia.
The First Congregational Church is a church located in downtown Portland, Oregon, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Construction took place over a period of six years, from 1889 to 1895.
Music is considered to be an essential part of worship. The pipe organ, with its 3,100 pipes, fills our sanctuary with dynamic tone.
The choir sings a varied, eclectic repertoire, from renaissance through contemporary, from fine, serious choral styles to arrangements of folk songs, spirituals, gospel music, and maybe a touch of the Indigo Girls from time to time. The choir is a balance of accompanied and a cappella music, and concentrates on beauty of sound, diction, and choral blend to the enhancement of the worship experience for all. The choir sings most Sunday services from Labor Day through Memorial Day and Pentecost.dd

Greenwood UMC - Hauptwerk Virtual Pipe Organ - An Organ Grand Tour Dedication Concert

The congregation of Greenwood United Methodist Church (Greenwood, IN), led by Music Director Drew Worthen, designed and built their own 4 manual, 56 channel Hauptwerk Virtual Pipe organ. At the dedication concert, An Organ Grand Tour on June 22, 2019, the organ was played publicly for the first time to a crowd of roughly 300 people. Visitors came from all over the state of Indiana, as well as Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, and New Jersey.

Organist Katelyn Emerson, praised for her great sensitivity and exciting artistry (The American Organist), showcases repertoire from the 14th-21st centuries in performances throughout the United States and Europe. She has performed in numerous esteemed venues, notably including the Hallgrímskirkja (Iceland), Cathédrale Saint-Omer (France), Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic Hall (Russia), Cathédrale St-Quentin (Hasselt, Belgium), the Hauptkirche St. Petri (Hamburg, Germany), on the Kotzschmar Memorial Organ of Merrill Auditorium (Portland, ME, U.S.A.), Severance Hall (Cleveland, OH, U.S.A.), Reith Recital Hall at Goshen College (IN, U.S.A.), and others.
As first prizewinner of the AGO's 2016 National Young Artists' Competition in Organ Performance, the Guild's premier performance competition, Katelyn will be honored with a recital at the 2018 National Convention of the AGO in Kansas City (MO, U.S.A.) and will release her first recording, under the Pro Organo label, in spring 2017.
Ms. Emerson will display her artistry on the four-manual 106-rank Reuter organ at Shadyside Presbyterian Church.
The concert will run approximately ninety minutes.
Presented in cooperation with Shadyside Presbyterian Church Music in a Great Space.
