In-depth tour of the Golden Computer Arcade in Hong Kong. This is a Computer Center Mall in Hong Kong. It's nuts. I've never seen so much gaming and PC stuff under one roof. This computer mall is jam packed with PC parts, motherboards, cases, graphics cards, console video game stuff, and of course a healthy selection of bootleg items. Really sick place!

My name is Dennis. In 2009, I opened this channel to record or document this city. I know something is being changed in next decade(s), or I felt the change have began since 2003, no later in 2046. I want to, at least, save some kind of city life in video form instead of taken photo or written in words. I strongly believe that motion picture and sound recording are much better way to preserve and present in the future when young generation want to get know of Hong Kong.
In May of 2018, I wrote the following statement in below:
Hi everyone, thank you for supporting me in fulfilling my childhood dream of making videos.
My parents had always taken a tolerant attitude toward my “capricious”: whether my work is feasible and sustainable... and they never complained about it.
As my father just passed away in May, I am left with no choice but to give up my video making venture.
In Hong Kong where the cost of living is sky high, youtube video making is simply not sustainable by google adsense alone. The revenue produced is way too insufficient for affording a domestic helper, and I must look after my mom all by myself - this is why I must stay very close to her at all times.
Unless my revenue is closed to market rate, or my income can cover a domestic helper, otherwise I can hardly justify any video-related works.
Therefore, from now on everything video will be postponed in terms of year(s).

Because I am the only son of my mother in Hong Kong, and I have to take care of her at home. I almost give up this channel because of high consumption of time and living cost. But I found some extra time.
I live in Fanling, north part of New Territory, so it will include my showtime of traveling back and forth. Because of home care to my old mother, there will be no time other than 9:00 to 16:00 because my mother is staying at the senior daycare center, so before and after that, I will NOT able to do filming.
I understand most of you are looking for high quality of video, e.g. 4K or 8K. But hardware is so important at this post-production, that is, the higher quality video, the higher powerful computer to render video. Financial is my biggest issue, I can't afford to buy an expensive hardware right now. Even previous old 2K recorded video, it wasn't easy at all, one hour video = 1.5 hours of rendering time, plus uploading time. How about 1 hour 4K ? = 15 hour up......under my old computer. I will continue to run this channel as long as the time is fit-on-me or I don't see any kind of video job could fit me.

Welcome to our Hong Kong Walking Tour in the Golden Computer Centre (高登電腦中心) in Sham Shui Po. Here you will find the latest tech gadgets, cheap computers, cheap computer parts, mobile phones, computer accessories, gaming PCs, games, gaming parts, and basically anything related to high tech.
'Once infamous for counterfeit software but today considered one of the cheapest places in Hong Kong to purchase a personal computer, the Golden Shopping Centre is a prominent IT shopping centre. Products range from complete systems, cell phones, to various peripherals. Unlike purely consumer-oriented IT shopping centres, Golden features several stores specializing in professional and esoteric network equipment.
The Golden Shopping Centre is also known for the number of video game stores it contains, where people purchase gaming systems, software and accessories at either a slightly discounted price, or in special in-store packages which might include an extra game or extra accessories. Since the halls are extremely narrow, it is often very congested, especially on weekends. The mall has two floors. The upper floor, Golden Computer Centre (高登電腦中心), mainly sells games and gaming software, while the lower floor, Golden Computer Arcade (黃金電腦商場), focuses on the sales of computer-oriented hardware. They were originally fashion markets named Golden Shopping Centre and Golden Shopping Arcade respectively.

Cheap Electronics & Gadgets Market in Hong Kong: Exploring Golden Computer Arcade Sham Shui Po
Golden Computer Arcade in Fuk Wa street, Sham Shui Po, Kowloon offers everything you can ask of computers gaming and tech needs. It is another must-visit destination in Hong Kong. This place is easily accessible by MTR via exit D2, there are lots of tiny packed stores to shop from. This is a huge maze of little stores that sells everything from parts, components, peripherals, accessories, laptop, gaming set to desktop, drones, action cameras, mobile devices, computers, printers, repairs, software, hardware, memory, upgrades, consoles, cases, controllers, etc can be found here. Almost all the shop owners speak good English so it's great overseas travelers.
A few tips for shopping here:
- always compare prices at multiple shops before you plan to shop anyting here
- lowest price can usually be found in the lower ground floor, ground floor is a bit costly than lower ground floor
Prices are very reasonable and would appear that most of the traders seem to all sell the same or similar products at almost at the same price. This place is cheaper and has more variety than Mongkok and Wan Chai Computer Center of Hong Kong.

Some say that this market is cheaper than the other two famous computer arcardes in Mong Kok and Wan Chai, but I'm not sure if this is the case anymore. There is a lot of stuff for those looking for computer, phone and tablet accessories, especially for the most up to date brands. If you've lost or broken a charger, data cable, battery pack, phone or laptop case/carrier, keyboard, mouse, camera lens or SD card, you can pick it up here while you're in transit!
If you live in Hong Kong, you can pick up stuff for you home including PCs, TVs, and audio systems.
There's also stuff for gamers, including PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo (old and new school) but remember that games consoles tend to be region locked!

Sham Shui Po is a district of Hong Kong known for its super cheap shops and markets.
You can get pretty much anything in Sham Shui Po including fabrics, toys, clothes, gadgets and much much more.
When it comes to electronics, the Golden Computer Arcade has it all! It has multiple stories and hundreds of small shops stocking mostly computer parts and and accessories but is not short of gaming consoles, drones, speakers and an abundance of random gadgets!
Sham Shui Po has an awesome vibe and so much to see. We can spend hours here just walking around. Its a great district to go and see if you are in Hong Kong!

Hong Kong Electronics(Golden Arcade Center)
If you're here in Hong Kong and trying to look for electronics stuffs, this is the place to go. Just take the MTR and stop at Sham Shui Po Station. There are a lot of stuffs that you can find here from mobile phone cases to stereo speakers.
Usually if I need this is where I go as well, that's why I would definitely recommend the place for you guys.
