Cape May Point Magnesium Plant Site - Drone Video!
This is the site of the Magnesium plant at Cape May point, NJ. In operation for 40 yrs it closed in the early1980's. The plant produced magnesium for bricks used in the furnaces for steel production. It was particularly important for steel production during World War 2. The land was reclaimed by the state of New Jersey and an effort is underway to create a wildlife sanctuary. All that remains of the factory is the water tower.
