Holy Trinity Church in Cork City
Holy Trinity Church is a Roman Catholic Church belonging to the Capuchin Franciscans. It is known as the Father Matthew Memorial Church and is located on Father Matthew Quay in Cork City. Construction on this church began in 1832. It opened for worship on 10th October 1850. George Richard Pain designed this church while the present facade was designed by Dominick J. Coakley. The adjoining Capuchin friary was built by Robert Walker in 1888. The spire was added in 1890 to mark the centenary celebration of the birth of Father Matthew. The chancel was lengthened between 1906 and 1908 by George C. Ashlin. There is stained glass windows by Harry Clarke in this church.

Adare - considered the most beautiful village in all Ireland. Its lies on the banks of the River Maigue set in the surrounding forests. The village was built in the 20 years of the 19th century, the Third Earl of Dunraven (1812 - 1871), owner of the estate Adare Manor. The main street lined with neat stone building with thatched roofs and still preserved remains of some religious buildings - e.g. The Church of the Holy Trinity, Franciscan abbey or Augustines. Above the bridge over the river stands the castle from the 13th century Desmond Castle.

Possibly apprenticed to Timothy Lawless and/or William or Charles Hull (Gillen).
William Telford established his organ-building and pianoforte 'manufactory in 1830 (Gillen). In 1847 he took his brother Henry into partnership and some organs from this period bear the nameplate William and Henry Telford, but more normally Telford & Telford until 1870. Henry died in 1866, and in 1870 William's two sons, William Hodgson and Edward Henry, joined the firm as it became Telford & Sons (Gillen).
The Telford family firms were the leading Irish organ builders of the nineteenth and earlier twentieth centuries. As well as repairing and rebuilding many older instruments in Dublin and throughout the country, they build over one hundred organs in churches and cathedrals throughout Ireland, and many instruments for colleges, convents, private houses etc. Telford's reputation was such that in 1847 the leading French organ builder Aristide Cavaille-Coll invited him to inspect his new organ at the Madelaine in Paris, while in 1851 he was invited to be adjudicator at the Great Exhibition in London.
