Loudest Cave in Hong Kong?
Cape D’Aguilar Marine Reserve lies on the southeastern tip of Hong Kong Island. It offers a panoramic view of the sky and sea from the coastal cliff, and a century-old lighthouse stands on it to make a picturesque view. Nearby there are two sea caves formed naturally by the wave erosion of the sea. One of them is called Thunder Cave, named for the thundering sound of sea waves splashing against the rocks years after years. Another one looks like a giant crab claw when viewed from the top of the cave and is thus called Crab Cave. The cliff and sea caves are the biggest natural treasures at Cape D’Aguilar Marine Reserve.
Cape D’Aguilar is not easily accessible by public transport and is not frequently visited, making it a best kept secret place in Hong Kong. It’s until recent years that the locals are getting familiar with this place after it became a popular location for star photography enthusiasts. Although it’s not as secret as it used to be, the beautiful scenery is still here for you to explore - only if you are willing to stand the heat and spend a few hours to get there.

ULTRA HD 4K SECRET ISLANDS OF HONG KONG BOAT TOUR
#sharpisland #secretislands #hongkong #discoverhongkong #geopark #hongkongtourism #saikung
Welcome to our Ultra HD 4K Secret Islands of Hong Kong Boat Tour in 2019. For only HKD50 (half price for children), you can get onto this boat tour in a junk boat, which tours around the secret small islands of Hong Kong. You will see pristine beaches, caves, and Sharp Island. The tour is approx 1 hour.
These islands belong to the Hong Kong Global Geopark. You will see the way the islands are formed, from Volcanos years ago. If you want to relax and take a break from the city life, this is it.
'Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark (Chinese: 香港聯合國教科文組織世界地質公園), formerly Hong Kong National Geopark (香港國家地質公園), was inaugurated on 3 November 2009.[1] It is a single entity of land area over 150 km2 across parts of the eastern and northeastern New Territories.[2] On 18 September 2011, UNESCO listed the geopark as part of its Global Geoparks Network.
The Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark consists of two geological regions: the widely distributed hexagonal rock columns in Sai Kung, which are of international geological significance, and the northeast New Territories region, which comprises sedimentary rocks formed in different geologic periods, showcasing the complete geological history of Hong Kong.
The geopark is made up of geological sites and local communities distributed across the Sai Kung Volcanic Rock Region and Northeast New Territories Sedimentary Rock Region.[3]
Sai Kung Volcanic Rock Region
High Island
High Island (Chinese: 糧船灣) is the home of the spectacular hexagonal columnar-jointed volcanic rocks. Most of the columns are sub-vertical, straight-sided and parallel. It covers a large area around Sai Kung peninsula in the eastern part of Hong Kong, including High Island Reservoir and Tai Long Wan, Sai Kung.
Ung Kong Group
Ung Kong Island Group (Chinese: 甕缸群島) is located in southeastern Hong Kong, immediately to the south of the High Island peninsula and to the northwest of the Ninepin group of islands. It consists of Wang Chau (Chinese: 橫洲), Basalt Island (Chinese: 火石洲) and Bluff Island(Chinese: 沙塘口山). Columnar-jointed rocks underlie these islands, giving their cliff coastline a distinctive appearance, and leading to the development of many sea caves and sea arches.
Ninepin Group
Ninepin Group (Chinese: 果洲群島) is located on the eastern side of Hong Kong, forms a series of offshore islands. Numerous inclined columnar jointed volcanic rocks create fascinating cliffs and coastal scenery around the Ninepin Group. Hexagonal columns in the Ninepin Group are as large as 3-meters in diameter.
Sharp Island
Sharp Island (Chinese: 橋咀洲) is located in the Inner Port Shelter, to the southeast of the Sai Kung Town, from where it can easily be reached by small boat. The island is underlain by older volcanic-related sedimentary rocks. There is a tombolo reaching to a small island nearby at low tide.'

HHL Couple Plastic Pollution Awareness - Cheung Chau Island, Hong Kong
One of our favorite places is Cheung Chau in Hong Kong. While touring the island, we were astonished to see how much plastic waste was on the beach!
It's a shame that this beautiful place is slowly drowing in plastic waste and we shudder to think how it's affecting the sea life and surrounding environment.
Do your part in reducing waste by disposing of your plastics and trash properly wherever you go.

Hongkong, Aberdeen Harbour - China Travel Channel
Aberdeen Harbour, Hong Kong, Southern District, is located on the south side of Hong Kong Island. Traditionally there are many junks and sampans here. There are still a lot of people who prefer life on the houseboats and are only hard to convince that the life in one of the surrounding skyscrapers is more convenient . On the boats, the relationship with neighbors is of course closer than in an anonymous high-rise apartment.
Center of the port of Aberdeen is the Jumbo Kingdom, two floating restaurants. In one of the huge dining rooms is a throne on which even Queen Elizabeth II had taken her seat during a visit to Hong Kong.

DAY 106 - THE BEST OF HONG KONG IN ONE DAY! // 24.01.2017
If you are typical tourists like us and have a limited time in Hong Kong, today's itinerary would be perfect for you.
You can start your day with the wind in your hair by catching the Star Ferry from Kowloon to Central Hong Kong. Once you have arrived, head to Hollywood Road, where you will find Man Mo Temple; perfectly nestled in between the biggest skyscrapers we have ever seen.
If you have the stamina, you could queue for the famous 'Peak Tram', which will take you up to Victoria Peak. Alternatively you could also do what we did and grab an Uber or even hike (not for the faint hearted).
Once you reach the top and your ears have popped; you can look out towards some of the best city skylines in the world. Only from here can you fully appreciate just how impressive this city is.
When you come back down to sea level, you can simply head back to Kowloon by train (no need to take another ferry...if you don't want to).
The metro in Hong Kong is cheap and easy to navigate. You will find that here, the main language is English (alongside Cantonese of course), so you won't get lost.
If you did hike up to Victoria Peak, then you would definitely hungry. We are always hungry (if you haven't already guessed), so we hit Temple Market. You can find clothes, gadget and souvenir shops here. Plus many places to eat. Sitting outside watching the world go by, with cheap beer was a fantastic end to the day!

Ocean Park Hong Kong
Ocean Park Hong Kong is a wonderful and unique theme park which encompasses an amusement park, a marine life park, a zoo and an oceanarium. As such, it has something to offer to everyone in the family.
Ocean Park is divided into two areas: The Waterfront and The Summit, which are linked by a Cable Car system and an Ocean Express funicular train system.
My day in Ocean Park was most enjoyable as I could catch the antics of playful sea lions, enjoyed some thrilling rides, gawked in wonder at the amazing ocean denizens residing in the Grand Aquarium, and watched a wonderful dolphin show - all in the same day!
Ocean Park is a theme park like no other and I would encourage you to spend a wonderful day there when you are in Hong Kong.
