Day trip to Shenzhen from Hong Kong + train trip +visa application
Shenzhen is an awesome energy packed place with shopping bazaars and malls everywhere you turn. If you are looking for inexpensive and bargain shopping while your staying in Hong Kong then Shenzhen is the place to go !!
Visa on arrival cost was 168 Yuan (Chinese money - must be paid in Yuan - not hong kong dollar). (i have an Australian passport but cost does not vary that much). Most Hong Kong ATMS give RMB (Yuan).

One of The Best Seafood Restaurants in Hong Kong at Aberdeen Fish Market

►25 Must-Eat Dishes in Hong Kong:
This is the final video in this Round The World for Food video series with Star Alliance. It was an amazing trip, the most action packed every day trip with food that I’ve ever taken in my life. I want to say a huge thank you to you for your support and for watching all the videos!
On Day 39, I wanted to have one final delicious meal in Hong Kong, and so we decided to take a quick trip over to Aberdeen Fish Market, which is outside of the main city, but very close, across the mountain. Turned out to be one of the best seafood meals I’ve ever had in Hong Kong, awesomely fresh seafood. We then headed to the airport and caught a flight with Thai Airways back home to Bangkok!
1:04 Aberdeen Fish Market - Located across Hong Kong island from the main part of the city, but only a 10 minute bus ride when there’s no traffic, Aberdeen is a nice place to visit. It also happens to be home to a wholesale seafood market. The market wasn’t too busy or crowded, but it was quite nice. But the main reason we went there was to eat an amazing Hong Kong seafood meal.
2:47 Aberdeen Fish Market Yee Hope Seafood Restaurant - It took me a little while to find the restaurant as I wasn’t sure if there was more than one restaurant at the fish market - but it turns out that I think there was just one restaurant, known as Aberdeen Fish Market Yee Hope Seafood Restaurant. The English part of their menu had some seafood set meals, so I just decided to order the full set which included crab, steamed fish, scallops, and a few other incredible seafood dishes. What impressed me the most about this Hong Kong seafood restaurant was that not only was the seafood extremely fresh, but it was cooked perfectly - nothing was too salty or overcooked - but everything was literally perfect. Although it wasn’t cheap, it this seafood meal in Hong Kong was the perfect last meal on this round the world trip! Total price - 646 HKD ($83.26)
14:38 Hong Kong Airport Express - After finishing the seafood meal we checked out of our hotel and headed to Hong Kong International Airport to head back to Bangkok. Price for airport express - 170 HKD ($21.91) for 2
15:28 Star Alliance Flight #10 - Thai Airways: Hong Kong to Bangkok - For our final flight of the trip we flew with Thai Airways from Hong Kong to Bangkok!
The epic seafood meal in Hong Kong was the highlight of the day!
Disclaimer and Thank You:
Thank you to Star Alliance and their Round The World tickets ( for sponsoring my business class flights.

Hong Kong Street Food - LEGENDARY Dai Pai Dong in Sham Shui Po!!! BEST Street Food in Hong Kong!
SNAKE SOUP in Hong Kong episode 1:
Welcome to the second episode of our Hong Kong street food series. Today, we will be showing you some of the best and affordable street food and local, traditional food you can find in the Sham Shui Po area, a district that preserves the feel of Old Hong Kong - where the locals live!
To start our day, we have a traditional beef sandwich with a Hong Kong style milk tea (total 37 HKD / 4.71 USD). The beef was juicy and tender. No extra sauce needed! We explore the Sham Shui Po market for tons of shopping and locate a rare street food at a shop specializing in soy bean. We had fried tofu chunks stuffed with fish paste. It was awesome watching the chefs prepare the tofu. This snack was so delicious and CHEAP (15 HKD / 1.91 USD for 5 pieces). And of course, we washed it down with fresh soy milk (7 HKD / 0.89 USD). Continuing through the street food market, we came by a Cantonese classic dish - cheong fun! This stall was unique however because the shape of the cheong fun (10 HKD / 1.27 USD for small) was rolled into small bites like the Korean street food Tteokbokki. Such a great street food to enjoy in a small Hong Kong alleyway! To end the day, we eat at one of the most important street food restaurants in all of Hong Kong, at a dai pai dong. Dai pai dong’s are quite important because they are quickly disappearing off the streets and becoming modernized. There are only a few left that truly preserve the culture of Hong Kong and Oi Man Sang is one of the few! We had Hong Kong style clams, beef and rice street side! It all was mouthwatering and the chefs were cooking right on the street (298 HKD / 37.96 USD including beers).
Thanks for joining us on another INSANE street food adventure in Hong Kong! More street food to come very soon! Make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss any episode! Thanks for watching!

Macau Travel Guide - Macao Day Trip from Hong Kong
Come join us for a day trip from Hong Kong (香港) as we visit Macau covering the best things to do in one day in our Macau Travel Guide (澳門 - 澳门).
We started off our day waking up early in Hong Kong to get to the ferry terminal to take a TurboJET ferry to Macao. *Important* remember to take your passport as you're crossing one special administration region in China to another (Hong Kong to Macau) and you'll need to go through immigration on both sides (it doesn't take long).
After arriving we took free transportation (provided by the casinos and hotels) to check out the Venetian Casino and Parisian Hotel. Then we were off to Taipa to mostly eat Macau street food and enjoy the old colonial architecture.
We then made our way to Senado Square, the ruins of St. Paul's and Forte Monte while munching on plenty of Macanese street food before heading back to Hong Kong on a TurboJET ferry.
As you can see you can do a lot in just one day in Macau but a few things we didn't get to do included gambling at casinos, going up Macau Tower or checking out the A-Ma temple. For more of the things we missed out on but are worth considering doing in Macau see our two lists below.
Things to do in Macau Travel Guide:
1) TurboJET Ferry ride from Hong Kong to Macau (噴射飛航) which takes approximately one hour - 00:15

Macau Travel Guide - Macao Day Trip from Hong Kong Travel Food Video Transcript:
Well good morning from Hong Kong. It is seven in the morning. A little early to be out in my opinion but today we're going to Macau. Special day.
So we've got our tickets for Macau. Woo! 160 Hong Kong dollars each. It is just over $20 US bucks and they give you your seats as you basically arrive. Just after you go through immigration. Yeah so we just got these little stickers. We're 17M and 17K and guys don't forget to bring your passport because technically you're going to a different special administrative region. You're going from Hong Kong to Macau.
This is part of our Travel in Macau video series showcasing Macau food, Macau culture and Macau cuisine.

Hong Kong Food Travel - Day 1 - Wontons and TINY HOTEL ROOM
This is the first of 5 videos from 5 days in Hong Kong eating some of the best food I've ever eaten.
Read about this video:
Da Nang to Hong Kong was super cheap so I decided to go!
Unfortunately, Viet Jet Air delayed my flight from Saigon, and I had to book Vietnam Airlines last minute to make the HK flight.
At the Da Nang Airport, I ran into local artist Kitty N. Wong

More of Kitty to come in Day 5!
Hong Kong was very cold for me so I needed something warm. A hot over priced bowl of wonton was excellent. Mak's Nooodle 19 Lock Road in Tsim Sha Tsui near Haiphong Road. You can find similar shops all around them, so no need to hunt for this one.
Then I went back to the hotel and the receptionist got mad at me because he thought I was filming him. Hong Kong people tend to really dislike cameras on them. I had many issues with people not wanting me to film. More on this later.
Oh, and the room was one of the smallest I've ever stayed in and the bed was ground hard.
