Tropical storm batters Hong Kong
(27 Aug 2017) A tropical storm on Sunday swept into southern China, lashing Macau and Hong Kong with heavy rain and strong wind just days after the cities were battered by the regions' strongest typhoon in decades.
Severe Tropical Storm Pakhar made landfall west of the Chinese casino hub of Macau on Sunday morning, packing maximum sustained winds of 90 kilometres (55 miles) per hour and stronger gusts.
Forecasters in Hong Kong and Macau raised a storm signal two notches below the maximum, forcing schools and businesses to close, ferry operators to halt services and airlines to delay or cancel some flights.
On Wednesday, Typhoon Hato left a trail of devastation as it barreled through the region, killing at least 18 people, including nine in Macau and nine more on mainland China.

Stockton | Black Buddha (Hong Kong)
“Too much of anything is bad, but too much of good whiskey is barely enough” - Mark Twain
The Stockton experience offers a change of pace from the typical HK hustle and flow. Drawing inspiration from several era's pre and post 1800s, this speakeasy provides a comfortable environment where locals and ex-pats mingle over an impressive spread of craft cocktails. This “den-like” watering hole provides a variety of comfortable seating for groups of all sizes, there's also a private cigar room in the back where many of HK's new elite can be found enjoying a discreet chilled out experience. Stockton's cocktails focus on Rum, Gin, and Whiskey..and we like the Bitter Bitch. Named after Queen Elizabeth, this Gin based beauty features Limoncello, orange juice, orange peels and Angostura for that extra kick of sour face. Don't be turned off by the line, this place is worth the wait.
