Open in September, 2007, The Peak Tram Historical Gallery is like a time tunnel with more than 200 memorabilia exhibited. Divided into 15 theme sections, it will take you back to Hong Kong in the 19th and 21st century. The first day of commercial operation on May 30th, 1888, attracted 600 passengers.

DAY 1 HONG KONG TRIP | PEAK TRAM AND CITY TOUR
Hong Kong welcomed us with a heavy rain. So after a quick brunch, we went back to our hostel and let the rain stopped before doing our tour.
We just went to Peak Tram via MTR. Good thing their MTR has a mobile app you can use to guide where exactly you need to hop for you to get to your destination. Sky Adventure was awesome. Overlooking the Hong Kong skyline is a breath of fresh air after few hours in line at the tram. hahaha
Then we went to HK Cultural Center and Avenue of Stars but it was closed due to renovation. It was hit by the recent typhoon I guess.

The Peak Tram (Chinese: 山頂纜車; Cantonese Yale: Sāandéng Laahmchē) is a funicular railway in Hong Kong, which carries both tourists and residents to the upper levels of Hong Kong Island. Running from Garden Road Admiralty to Victoria Peak via the Mid-Levels, it provides the most direct route and offers good views over the harbour and skyscrapers of Hong Kong.
The Peak Tram is owned and operated by Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels (HSH), the owner of Hong Kong's famous Peninsula Hotel along with many other properties. The line, along with HSH's Peak Tower leisure complex at the line's summit, is promoted using the brand The Peak
피크 트램(중국어 정체: 山頂纜車, 영어: Peak Tram)은 중화인민공화국 홍콩에 있는 강삭철도(케이블카)이다.
ピークトラム（英語：peak tram）は香港において運行されている鋼索式鉄道（ケーブルカー）
香港島の中でも標高が高く、涼しい所に住む英国人のために造られたが、現在では夜景で知られるヴィクトリア・ピークへの観光鉄道となっている。
花園道駅～山頂駅の間、距離1.4km・標高差363mを約10分で結ぶ。全線が単線で地上を走る。山頂纜車有限公司が運営。斜度は最大27度で、2両編成の運行。
なお、一般的にケーブルカーは勾配区間を走るため車両が平行四辺形状となり、室内は階段構造となるが、このピークトラムの場合は長方形状の上床も平坦であり、一般の鉄道車両と変わらない。ただし駅停車時の勾配に配慮して、通路は歩幅間隔で逆カマボコ状の凹面が連続する形状になっており、傾斜の異なる各駅での乗降時においても、乗客の踏面が確実に床面を捕らえられるよう配慮がなされている。座席は全て坂の上方向を向いており、勾配に差し掛かると尻に重さを感じる。座席は山に向かって左側（山側）が2人掛、右側（海側）が3人掛の非対称構造となっている。窓上部が開口する構造となっており、空調は設置されていない。
現金で乗車券を購入するほか、オクトパスカードでも乗車できる。
山頂纜車是香港最早運作的機動公共交通工具及亞洲第一條纜索鐵路，於1888年5月30日起運作至今，來往香港島中環花園道和太平山爐峰峽
山頂纜車的路軌全長1.4公里，坡度為4至27度，海拔為28米至396米，車站包括花園道總站、堅尼地道站、麥當勞道站、梅道站、白加道站及山頂總站，來往兩座總站的車程約8分鐘。
山頂纜車依靠直徑44毫米及斷裂應力139公噸的鋼纜拉動，路軌軌距1520毫米，此軌距屬於俄羅斯鐵路普遍採用的寬軌，也是香港唯一採用寬軌的鐵路。由於山路狹窄，山頂纜車大部分路段只鋪設單軌，但在梅道站和白加道站之間設有雙軌，可供兩列纜車交匯上落。一列纜車由兩個車卡組成，兩列纜車能夠同時以相反方向行駛，每小時可以載客2,800人次。

The infamous Repulse Bay characterized by the historical battles of the British and the pirates lie in the east. Photography is a must !!! At Stanley market, you'll be immersed with an array of street stalls and small shops that sell almost anything that you may wish to bring back to your relatives. The waterfront presents row of cafes, bars and restaurants to fill your hungry stomaches. The newly built Stanley Plaza offers another alternative shopping spree under air-conditioning for shopper's delight. Of course, you'll find cultural and historical attractions too. The Murray House. the Tin Hau Temple, the galleries of the Corrective Service Department (the Stanley Prison) are places which may of interest to you. Come to Stanley Market and you'll know that there's a lot of difference from any of the markets that you may know of. Believe me, each market has an identity and there's always a beauty in her uniqueness!!!

Transportasi kesana bisa bisa jalan kaki, naik bus, naik tram dan naik taxi.
Kalau temen-temen mau memilih jalan kaki, temen2 turun MTR central exit J2 menuju station TRAM di Garden Road. Bus no 15c dari MTR central. Bus no 15 dari exchange square bus ( MTR Hong Kong station exit D). Melalui minibus no 1 MTR Hong Kong station exit E. Menggunakan taxi dimana aja temen2 bisa menemukan taxi.

Hong Kong Heritage Museum (Chinese: 香港文化博物館) is a museum of history, art and culture in Sha Tin, Hong Kong, located beside the Shing Mun River. The museum opened on 16 December 2000.
