Portland food cart tour with Eat Adventures
We drove through 5 neighborhoods of Portland, OR in search of delicious flavor fusions. Unlike other cities’ mobile food trucks, most of Portland's food carts are grouped in “food pods,” which consist of 3 or more food carts in one area.
We enjoyed 5 carts:
1. Koi Fusion
2. Olivia's
3. Parmacy
4. Viking Soul Food
5. Smaaken Waffle Sandwiches

Portland Food Carts
It is so much fun to be around Erik Kennon. You can listen to his wit and taste some of the best of Portland’s food cart scene at the same time!
We tasted food from more than a half dozen vendors. Columbian empanadas, Greek lamb with falafel donut, Challah French bread, Jambalaya, Horchatas, Italian Street pizza, Korean Tacos, and Durian ice cream.

Portland is a city located in the U.S. state of Oregon, near the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia rivers. As of the 2010 Census, it had a population of 583,776, estimated to have reached 587,865 in 2012 making it the 28th most populous city in the United States. Portland is Oregon's most populous city, and the third most populous city in the Pacific Northwest region, after Seattle, Washington, and Vancouver, British Columbia. Approximately 2,289,800 people live in the Portland metropolitan area (MSA), the 19th most populous MSA in the United States.
Portland was incorporated in 1851 near the end of the Oregon Trail and is the county seat of Multnomah County. The city has a commission-based government headed by a mayor and four other commissioners as well as Metro, a distinctive regional government. The city is noted for its superior land-use planning and investment in light rail.Because of its public transportation networks and efficient land-use planning, Portland has been referred to as one of the most environmentally friendly, or green, cities in the world.
Located in the Marine west coast climate region, Portland has a climate marked by both warm, dry summers and wet, cool-to-chilly winter days. This climate is ideal for growing roses. For more than a century, Portland has been known as the City of Roses, with many rose gardens -- most prominently the International Rose Test Garden. The city is also known for its abundant outdoor activities, liberal political values, and beer and coffee enthusiasm. Portland is home to a collection of independent microbreweries, microdistilleries and food carts that contribute to the unofficial but widely utilized[citation needed] slogan Keep Portland Weird.

Top 5 Best Places to Eat in Portland
Over the past decade, Portland has confirmed its credentials as a destination city for food lovers. A combination of great Pacific North-western produce, low start-up costs and innovative kitchen talent has provided visitors to Stumptown, as the city is affectionately known, an impressive variety of restaurant choices and cooking styles, often on a budget that makes larger US cities look grossly overpriced. It's not just bricks-and-mortar hostelries: the last couple of years have seen a proliferation of gourmet food carts – semi-mobile cooking sheds assembled in clusters, or pods, in various car parks and street corners through the city. There's a cart to suit pretty much every palate, whether your preference is for Bosnian or Thai; Czech or Mexican; vegan bowl or bespoke burger. Throw in a posse of cutting edge chefs, many of them carrying armfuls of tattoos (in keeping with the city's left-field, rock'n'roll leanings), and you've got a west coast city that has emerged from the shadow of Seattle to the north and San Francisco to the south

TRIP TO PORTLAND, PARTE 2: DOWNTOWN - WATERFRONT CITY PARK E FOOD CARTS
Bem vindo ao Emerald City, canal que mostra curiosidades sobre Seattle, pontos turísticos da cidade e outras informações sobre a vida e viagens nos Estados Unidos. Vídeos sempre as quintas feiras!
