ULTRA HD 4K HONG KONG WALKING TOUR - CENTRAL | 中環 | ADMIRALTY | 金鐘
#central #hongkong #centralhongkong #cbd #richcity
Welcome to our Hong Kong Walking Tour in Central and Admiralty. Our video is shot in Ultra Hd 4K, crystal clear quality, it’s as though you are actually here.
We begin the walk in Queens road central, and walk towards the direction of HSBC bank, Cheung Kong building, Citibank plaza, then onto Admiralty towards Pacific Place, Lippo Centre, Admiralty centre.
‘Central (also Central District; Chinese: 中環) is the central business district of Hong Kong. It is located in Central and Western District, on the north shore of Hong Kong Island, across Victoria Harbour from Tsim Sha Tsui, the southernmost point of Kowloon Peninsula. The area was the heart of Victoria City, although that name is rarely used today. As the central business district of Hong Kong, it is the area where many multinational financial services corporations have their headquarters. Consulates general and consulates of many countries are also located in this area, as is Government Hill, the site of the government headquarters. The area, with its proximity to Victoria Harbour, has served as the centre of trade and financial activities from the earliest days of the British colonial era in 1841, and continues to flourish and serve as the place of administration after the transfer of sovereignty to China in 1997.’
'Admiralty is the eastern extension of the central business district (adjacent to, but separate from, Central) on the Hong Kong Island of Hong Kong. It is located on the eastern end of the Central and Western District, bordered by Wan Chai to the east and Victoria Harbour to the north.
The name of Admiralty refers to the former Admiralty Dock in the area which housed a naval dockyard. The dock was later demolished when land was reclaimed and developed northward as the naval base HMS Tamar. The Chinese name, Kam Chung (金鐘), lit. Golden Bell, refers to a gold-coloured bell that was used for timekeeping at Wellington Barracks.[1]
uildings in Admiralty consist primarily of office buildings, government buildings, shopping malls and hotels. There are also several parks in the area: Hong Kong Park, Tamar Park and Harcourt Garden.
The main development of the area in recent years has been the development of the Tamar site into the Central Government Complex, which started operating in 2011. Facing Victoria Harbour, the complex houses the Office of the Chief Executive, the Legislative Council Complex and the Central Government Offices.
As one of the main financial areas in Hong Kong, there are plenty of Grade-A commercial buildings in Admiralty[3] including:
Admiralty Centre
Bank of America Tower
British Consulate General Hong Kong
Chinese People's Liberation Army Forces Hong Kong Building
CITIC Tower
Far East Financial Centre
High Court Building
Lippo Centre, which houses the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office
Pacific Place, a complex featuring a shopping mall, several hotels and office towers, that opened in Admiralty in phases between 1988 and 1991. The complex is connected to the MTR Admiralty Station via an underground walkway. A later phase, Three Pacific Place, is located in Wan Chai
Queensway Government Offices
Queensway Plaza, a shopping centre located above Admiralty Station

HONG KONG CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT | FAMOUS BUILDINGS IN HONG KONG
#centralhongkong #hongkong #discoverhongkong
Welcome to Hong Kong's Central Business District, where we show you the most famous buildings in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong skyline is probably the most famous in the world, with its iconic buildings, each with different features, and designed by feng shui masters to attract wealth and prosperity for the country.
Each one is a different shape, colour, and even angled differently. Some 1200 international multinational companies are based in Hong Kong, and Central also hosts the biggest international banks. including HSBC, Citibank, Standard Chartered, Bank of America, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, and many more.
Central being the CBD of Hong Kong is also where many doctors and lawyers are located, as well as the legislative council, final court of appeal. Cheung Kong is definitely one of the most famous iconic buildings, owned by Li Ka Shing.
'Central (also Central District; Chinese: 中環) is the central business district of Hong Kong.
The area, with its proximity to Victoria Harbour, has served as the centre of trade and financial activities from the earliest days of the British colonial era in 1841, and continues to flourish and serve as the place of administration after the transfer of sovereignty to China in 1997.
Central is located on the north shore of Hong Kong Island, across Victoria Harbour from Tsim Sha Tsui, the southernmost point of Kowloon Peninsula. It is bordered in the west by Sheung Wan, with the border being along Aberdeen Street (also called Wing Kut Street). It is bordered in the east by Admiralty, an eastern extension of the central business district. As such, Admiralty is sometimes considered a part of Central. Central is bordered in the south by Mid-levels, an area halfway up Victoria Peak. The boundary between Central and Mid-levels is not clearly defined.
For district council elections purposes, the area, together with Admiralty, correspond roughly to the Chung Wan constituency.[2] The boundaries of such constituencies may be subject to modification.[3]

THE BEST ROOFTOPS & VIEWS HONG KONG 2019 PART 3
Spent my last full day in Hong Kong walking around visiting Man Mo Temple, Quarry Bay, & took the MTR to Kowloon to visit the second tallest/largest rooftop bar in the world called OZONE. It's located inside of the Ritz Carlton hotel on the 118th floor. Out of all the rooftops that i've visited in the world, this was by far the highest up i've ever been.

Hong Kong: Constant Change
The Hong Kong: Constant Change exhibition aims to portray Hong Kong's vibrant creative landscape. Through the use of multimedia, the design and creative forces in play are manifested in a city characterised by its unique positioning and unprecedented opportunity within Asia and China. Adding to that is our cultural diversity, density, state of flux, and contrast between modernity and tradition, and the East and the West. Through features of 60 or so designers, in particular young design talents and their design projects, a distinct constellation is revealed, illuminating a sustainable design cosmography for the future of Hong Kong.

ULTRA HD 4K HONG KONG WALKING TOUR - PACIFIC PLACE | IMMIGRATION TOWER | 入境事務大樓 | WANCHAI
#pacificplace #hongkongimmigration #wanchai #hongkong #discoverhongkong
Welcome to our ULTRA HD 4K Hong Kong Walking Tour where we walk from Pacific Place Shopping Mall to Immigration Tower via Lockhart Road then onto Hennessy Road in Wanchai and Connaught Road the back to Pacific Place. This tour is quite comprehensive as one can learn how to walk to the Immigration Department from Wanchai.
'The Immigration Tower (Chinese: 入境事務大樓) is a skyscraper located in the Wan Chai District of Hong Kong completed in 1990.[1] The tower rises 49 floors and 181 metres (594 ft) in height.[2] The Immigration Tower, which stands as the 93rd-tallest building in Hong Kong, is composed entirely of office space.[1] The building houses government offices, principally those of the Immigration Department.[1]Immigration Tower is part of a three-tower complex of government offices surrounding the Gloucester Road Garden. The other two towers are the Wanchai Tower and the Revenue Tower. These government buildings were designed by the Architectural Services Department for the Government Property Agency. The Revenue Tower is nearly identical in design to the Immigration Tower.
Most of the floors in the Immigration Tower are designed as open plan offices, which increases flexibility for tenants. For these floors, the usable floor area is as much as 80% of the gross floor area.[3] The tower incorporates a sky lobby on the 38th storey to facilitate vertical transportation. The building is linked to Wan Chai Station by a long footbridge, and so there are entrances and lobbies at both the ground level and the first floor.
The dominant tenant is the Immigration Department, and the building is heavily visited by members of the public who rely on the department for the issuance of Hong Kong Identity Cards and all types of visa. The lowest levels of the tower are thus served by escalators in order to accommodate the high patronage of the services found there. The Immigration Department maintains several unique facilities in the building. A restricted vault holds a collection of volumes dating back to 1873 which records in detail the births and deaths over the years, including information such as the occupation of new fathers or the causes of deaths. The oldest extant marriage registry is from 1945, as earlier volumes were lost during World War II.[4] The department also maintains a small detention facility on the 13th floor.[5]
There is a giant Philips advertisement on the roof, facing Kowloon, publicised in 2007 as the largest LED display panel in Hong Kong.[6].

'Pacific Place is a complex of office towers, hotels and a shopping centre situated at 88 Queensway, in Admiralty, Hong Kong. The latest phase, Three Pacific Place, is located at 1 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai.[2][3]
The four-level mall is home to over 160 shops and boutiques [4] and one major department store. The complex is also home to three five-star hotels, a boutique hotel, three office towers and 270 serviced apartments.
Pacific Place complex is owned and managed by Swire Properties, with the exception of the three hotels (Conrad Hong Kong, Island Shangri-La and JW Marriott Hotel), in each of which it retains a 20 per cent equity interest.[5] Pacific Place was developed by Swire Properties. Phases One and Two were built on land formerly part of Victoria Barracks, one of the first military compounds in Hong Kong. The land was auctioned by the Hong Kong Government during redevelopment and was successfully bid for by Swire. It was purchased in two tranches in 1985 and 1986 for a total cost of US$1 billion.[6] Phase One opened in 1988.[6] The Conrad International Hotel was completed in 1991.[7][8] Phase Three was completed in 2004.[1] It was developed from old buildings on Star Street, Wan Chai.[6]
The four-level shopping arcade houses both lifestyle and high-end shops in areas ranging from entertainment, dining, accessories to apparel. It houses one department store, Harvey Nichols. A footbridge connects it across Queensway to Queensway Plaza and United Centre. It is connected by tunnels to the Admiralty MTR Station and Three Pacific Place. Escalators connect it to Hong Kong Park.'

Incredible Crispy Roast Goose and Claypot Rice in Hong Kong — HK Travel Food Guide!

On Day 36 of our Round The World Trip for Food with Star Alliance, it was a rainy day in Hong Kong. We started off with some local dim sum, then had incredible roast goose and finished the night with claypot rice.
1:03 Breakfast dim sum at Sam Hui Yat - Thanks to for recommending this restaurant to me. Sam Hui Yat is a Hong Kong neighborhood dim sum restaurant that’s nothing fancy at all, but serves just good tasting, everyday dim sum and yum cha. It’s just a neighborhood hangout, and it’s the type of place I absolutely love. We had a mix of different dim sum, all of which sit at the front of the restaurant slowly steaming and keeping hot until they are ordered and eaten. Everything was good but the lo mai gai, glutinous rice steamed in a lotus leaf was one of my personal favorites. Total price - 102 HKD ($13.15)
7:32 Yung Kee Roast Goose - For lunch we headed to the legendary Yung Kee restaurant in Hong Kong, known for serving some of the best roast goose in all of Hong Kong. There are a lot of stories and drama that surrounds Yung Kee, that I don’t even begin to know all about. But anyway, the restaurant is overall very nice, like a pretty fancy Chinese Cantonese restaurant. The roast goose was absolutely out of this world, with skin that was so crispy and juicy, and a nice blend of salty and sweet in the sauce. Yung Kee is an amazing restaurant in Hong Kong for fantastic roast duck. The chicken and the other dishes we tried were also excellent. Total price - 654.50 HKD ($84.33)
17:29 Four Seasons Claypot Rice (Yau Ma Tei) - To be honest, my wife Ying and I were pretty tired and exhausted from the day, but we decided to head over to Yau Ma Tei for a quick local Hong Kong dinner and to walk around the Temple Street Night Market. Since we were both quite full from lunch, we only ordered a couple dishes including a claypot rice with chicken and mushrooms, and a plate of morning glory with fermented bean sauce on the top. It was a great dinner on this Hong Kong food drink. Total price - 71 HKD ($9.15)
23:12 Temple Street Night Market - Temple Street Night Market is one of the old Hong Kong night markets. There’s not a lot to see or do, but it’s a nice place to browse around at night.
Day 35 in Hong Kong was a wonderful day of delicious Hong Kong food and attraction!
