Pioneer Place Mall - Portland, Oregon
This is the new rotunda of the 369,000 square foot Pioneer Place Mall in Portland, Oregon; which occupies four city blocks. It contains about 70 stores and an underground food court. The mall was built in 1990 as one four story rotunda and two single story rectangular sections. A second rotunda, five floors high, was added in 1998 and was to be the home of Sundance Cinemas on the fifth floor. Sundance backed out of the deal and the fifth floor remained unoccupied for about two years before Regal Cinemas decided to put a multiplex cinema there.

Nice Unknown Custom Elevators at West Plaza Ghirardelli Square San Francisco, CA
Riding one of the elevators at the West Plaza in Ghirardelli Square.
TAKEN: March 15th, 2019
Serving the Subpar miniature golf course and a Ghirardelli chocolate store, these elevators have evidently changed quite a bit. The cab has changed, the fixtures have changed, and throughout YouTube's history, this has appeared to have happened multiple times. Just go watch alpalJL's video and you'll see TWO different cabs! These are not as cool as the parking elevators in my last upload, but I cannot deny my love for the custom Innovation fixtures!

Bulldozer Removes Collected Property from Occupy SLC Camp
On November 12, Occupy SLC was evicted from Pioneer Park by police following orders from Mayor Ralph Becker. 18 people were arrested, and one cited. Two structures have been allowed to remain in an attempt to compromise with Occupy SLC, as well as allowing activities (though no camping) to continue at Gallivan Plaza. There were no incidents of violence from either protestors or the police. Many groups were present to provide assistance to the homeless and provide them a place to sleep, to assist with the legal interests of the movement and to show support and solidarity with the occupy movement.

The Food That Made Seattle | Mossback's Northwest
Every city has a dish (or five) to call its own, and every dish has a story to tell. Seattle is no exception. In this episode of Mossback’s Northwest, Knute Berger serves up five courses that were invented or popularized in Seattle. The culinary tour starts with 19th century prospectors on the hunt for a high calorie breakfast before winding through the long lines of the World’s Fair and ending up in the 1980s, where a bagel vendor devised a new kind of hot dog for the late-night crowd. A mix of bold invention and international influence, Mossback’s menu is perfect for those hungry for history.

Transcript:
- [Stefan] So Stephen, welcome. Why don't you tell me a little bit about yourself and, kind of, your professional journey.
- [Stephen] I am now retired from being a licensed clinical psychologist, 47 years of experience. Before I retired, I got my Masters and PhD in clinical and rehabilitation psychology and spent a lot of time in the course of my career working with people with chronic physical problems, especially chronic pain. I was director of four different chronic pain treatment programs around the United States and developed some model programs for hospital corporation. Went into private practice, as quickly as I could because I like to be independent, do it my way instead of the way someone else said I had to.
- That's a lot to get done in the first half of your career. You said you prefer working independently, that's kind of like how I prefer doing what I'm doing with the videos. I like doing things my way. Hey exactly. So, I have a vision, I have a mission, that's kind of what I'm sticking to. Just because I know a lot of people are unclear about the difference between a psychologist and a psychiatrist. I think a lot of people when they go and they seek any sort of counseling or psychotherapy or anything like that you've got licensed mental health practitioners, you've got social workers, and you've got psychologists and psychiatrists. Kind of differentiate the two between the psychiatrist and the psychologist. Psychiatrist is a medical model, right?
- Yes, medical model and I prefer to help people learn how to deal with their problems and address the core issues and read the problems and strategies and they can resolve the problems, at least attenuate them. I've started seeking ways to help people transform themselves and not just... they come in, you do short-term treatment, you stabilize them, send them home until they fall apart again. I wasn't content with that. And the insurance model, and the medical model were content with that. So I had a choice point, psychologist, psychiatrist and a lot of people, my mom included, said well, be an MD, you'll be automatically respected if you have an MD behind your name and I said well I want to be respected because I'm good at what I do.
Watch for more!
