Rialto Bridge: Aug. 31 to Sept. 2
A three-story steel framework is up, and concrete floors are being poured at the Rialto Bridge project in downtown Loveland.
The Reporter-Herald is following the project with a series of time-lapse photographs that are posted on the newspaper's website, reporterherald.com.
After setbacks caused by weather and construction snags, the building adjacent to the historic Rialto Theater on Fourth Street is back on track thanks to overtime work by Golden Triangle Construction, the Longmont general contractor on the $4 million job.
The Rialto Bridge will open early next year with 20,000 square feet of space split between public and private uses. The Rialto Theater will get much-needed rehearsal, storage and dressing room space.
A ground-floor restaurant, and office suites on the third floor, will sandwich a community event center on the second floor.
The venture is a public, private and philanthropic partnership that brings together the city, private developer Troy Peterson and the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado.
