Behind the scenes - BBC Introducing in Hereford & Worcester
Jim Lowe writes: We were kindly given permission to film some behind the scenes work with BBC Hereford & Worcester on Saturday 12 January 2013 with Andrew Marston & Andy O'Hare.
On The Record is an in depth music interview series, it's been a labour of love from myself and former broadcast cameraman PJ, we interview the musicians and technicians who devote their lives to music making. We start with their earliest music influences for inspiration junkies like ourselves, then we move on to their thoughts on live music and what the music business means to them, especially but not exclusively at local and unsigned level.
Many of the contributors can be found on this You Tube channel if they capture your hearts or imagination.
You are absolutely welcome to join our facebook page to watch or join in with the discussions or to get links to any of the contributors. Do not be put off about the title of 'Worcestershire' scene as this covers bands who have played here from all over the country or even planet and the artists who have come to stay in Worcester and those who have left to go elsewhere....music is bigger than any place!
BBC Broadcast - Booth Hall 2016
On Sunday 4th of December we were invited by the BBC Hereford & Worcester team to record a live session at The Booth Hall in Hereford. We played four original tracks, some of which you may have already heard, and did an interview with Andrew Marston, the presenter of BBC Introducing for Hereford & Worcester. It was a great gig so thanks to everybody who came along and made it a good time.
This was one of Alex's final performances with the band and we'd like to thank Andrew for mentioning that towards the end of the broadcast.
As a band we regard this as our biggest achievement to date and can't wait to continue writing and playing this year.
