ULTRA HD 4K HONG KONG CYBERPORT WATERFRONT PARK | 數碼港 | BEL-AIR
#ultrahd4k #uhd #4k #4k60fps #hongkong #discoverhongkong
Welcome to our Hong Kong Walking Tour in Cyberport Waterfront Park 數碼港, where Residence Bel-Air is. Our video is filmed in Ultra HD 4K, crystal clear quality, as if you are actually here.
Huge Park, almost perfect, right next to the sea, endless views, in a quiet suburban neighbourhood. There are the Cyberport offices here and the Mall. Just a 10-15 min ride to Central.
'Cyberport (Chinese: 數碼港) is a business park in Hong Kong consisting of four office buildings, a hotel, and a retail entertainment complex. It describes itself as a creative digital community with a cluster of technology and digital content tenants.[1] It is owned and managed by Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited which is wholly owned by the Hong Kong SAR Government.
As of February 2016, Cyberport has incubated and funded over 320 startup companies since inception in 2007. It has nurtured local-industry startups ranging from Venuehub, Gogovan to Reubird.[2] It has also announced in 2016 that it would set up a Cyberport Macro Fund to support local start-ups after seed stage but generally before or around Series A stage of funding. Bel-Air (貝沙灣) is a luxury residential development in Cyberport. The development is split in six phases; phase 1 and 2 are referred to Residence Bel-Air and Phase 3 is referred as Bel-Air on the Peak. Phase 1 and 2 each have a clubhouse and 7 blocks that are about 48 floors tall. Floor 40 and upwards are flats that have the area of two flats combined into one, creating over 3,200 square feet (300 m2). All of which feature sky gardens with ocean views. Enumeration of Block 4 and all 4th floors of each block has been avoided for superstitious reasons. However the management company neglected to omit 4 when naming the construction phases.
Each floor of Bel-Air on the Peak has three apartments, 2 larger units, 'A' and 'C' and a smaller 2-bedroom unit 'B'. The clubhouse of Bel-Air on the Peak is significantly newer with more artistic features.[citation needed] They maintain an indoor pool, gym, restaurant, snooker room, and children's game room.
Bel-Air has two clubhouses: the Bay Wing and Peak Wing. They feature a spa, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, game room, gym, children's play room, restaurant, and personal cinema. Each floor of the Residence Bel-Air has two flats with 3 bedrooms, 1 kitchen, and a balcony. Additionally there are single family homes near Residence Bel-Air.'

HONG KONG SHAM SHUI PO COMPUTER CENTRE | 高登電腦中心 | 深水埗
HKWTV shows you the famous computer centre in Sham Shui Po (高登電腦中心). We were here to check out some computer parts, phone accessories and ps4 games. Lots of choice and located in Sham Shui Po which is the heart of Kowloon. Our video is shot in Ultra HD 4K.
'Sham Shui Po (Chinese: 深水埗; Cantonese Yale: Sāmséuibóu) is an area of Kowloon, Hong Kong, situated in the northwestern part of the Kowloon Peninsula, north of Tai Kok Tsui, east of Cheung Sha Wan and south of Shek Kip Mei 石硤尾. It is located in and is the namesake of the Sham Shui Po District.
Although it is predominantly poor, Sham Shui Po is one of the densest and most vibrant neighbourhoods in Hong Kong. It has a diverse mix of migrants from rural China, working-class families and seniors, with many living in cage homes, subdivided flats and public housing estates. Sham Shui Po has many lively street markets, electronics outlets, fabric stores, restaurants and food vendors. It is famous for Golden Computer Shopping Arcade for bargain electronics and accessories.
Once infamous for counterfeit software but today considered one of the cheapest places in Hong Kong to purchase a personal computer, the Golden Shopping Centre is a prominent IT shopping centre. Products range from complete systems, cell phones, to various peripherals. Unlike purely consumer-oriented IT shopping centres, Golden features several stores specializing in professional and esoteric network equipment.
The Golden Shopping Centre is also known for the number of video game stores it contains, where people purchase gaming systems, software and accessories at either a slightly discounted price, or in special in-store packages which might include an extra game or extra accessories. Since the halls are extremely narrow, it is often very congested, especially on weekends. The mall has two floors. The upper floor, Golden Computer Centre (高登電腦中心), mainly sells games and gaming software, while the lower floor, Golden Computer Arcade (黃金電腦商場), focuses on the sales of computer-oriented hardware. They were originally fashion markets named Golden Shopping Centre and Golden Shopping Arcade respectively.'

PEARL OF THE ORIENT 1950s HONG KONG CROWN COLONY VICTORIA CITY & TIGER BALM GARDEN 16794
Want to support this channel and help us preserve old films? Visit
Pearl of the Orient is a short film from International Film Distributors, Inc. (likely from the 1950s) that gives viewers a quick tour of the Hong Kong Island. The film opens with a shot of a ferry in Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbor. Viewers see junks with Hong Kong’s sky scrapers in the background. Cars drive past the pier where commuters leave the ferry and walk to the high-rise towers for work. The film shows Victoria City, dubbed the Wall Street of Hong Kong (01:54), a municipal parking lot, a small park, and women watching a newlywed couple be photographed (02:42). Buses drive through the narrow streets. A rickshaw driver pulls his rickshaw next to narrow double-decker trolley cars. People explore a Chinese shopping arcade (04:02). The film shows a great view of Victoria City from the top of Victoria Peak (04:29). From the vantage point, there is a panoramic shot of the island and the harbor. Viewers see North Point (an urban area) and its Happy Valley Racetrack (05:12), as well as a Japanese department store (05:58). A woman steers a sampan on the water (06:14). Footage shows a number of sampans on the water. There are more shots of streets lined with apartment buildings (07:05), and on the slopes rising above the city are dozens of shanties. One of the island’s highlights for visitors is the ornate Tiger Balm Garden, which is now a theme park of sorts (08:01). Next, viewers see Aberdeen, located on the Port of Hong Kong (09:07). Junks and sampans move on the water. Viewers see the lit-up floating restaurants of Aberdeen at night. A boat woman ferries passengers to one of the floating restaurants. The film concludes with footage of Hong Kong’s streets lit up at night (10:45), including one shot of an illuminated fountain.
Hong Kong, officially the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China and commonly abbreviated as HK, is a special administrative region on the eastern side of the Pearl River estuary in southern China. With over 7.4 million people of various nationalities in a 1,104-square-kilometre (426 sq mi) territory, Hong Kong is the world's fourth most densely populated region.
Hong Kong became a colony of the British Empire after Qing Empire ceded Hong Kong Island at the end of the First Opium War in 1842. The colony expanded to the Kowloon Peninsula in 1860 after the Second Opium War, and was further extended when Britain obtained a 99-year lease of the New Territories in 1898. The entire territory was transferred to China in 1997. As a special administrative region, Hong Kong's system of government is separate from that of mainland China and its people overwhelmingly identify as Hongkongers rather than Chinese.

香港旅遊 / 好景點 (116) Hong Kong Stanley 赤柱村 聖士提反泳灣 St. Stephen's Beach
Stanley (Chinese: 赤柱) is a coastal town and a tourist attraction in Hong Kong. It is located on a peninsula on Hong Kong Island. It is east of Repulse Bay and west of Shek O, adjacent to Chung Hom Kok. Administratively, it is part of the Southern District.
The Chinese name Chek Chue refers to the original village-town but Stanley generally refers to all the surrounding areas of the peninsula on Hong Kong Island.
here are two possible origins of the name Chek Chue.
Legend has it that the notorious pirate Cheung Po Tsai was active in Stanley. That is why the district became known in Cantonese as Chak Chue (Chinese: 賊柱; literally: Bandit's Post). There was once a Cheung Po Tsai Cave near the Tin Hau Temple west of Stanley, but the cave was filled in the early 1950s.
The original Cantonese name of the village was believed to be based on a big tall cotton tree (Bombax malabaricum, Bombax ceiba 木棉樹) often covered with bright red blossoms at the time, hence red pillar (赤柱) in Hakka language.
It was given an English name after Lord Stanley (subsequently Earl of Derby), British Colonial Secretary at the time of the cession of Hong Kong to the United Kingdom, and subsequently Prime Minister.[1]
History
After the annexation of Hong Kong in 1842, the British made Stanley the temporary administrative centre, before moving it to the newly founded Victoria City (present day Central) on Hong Kong Island.
Stanley Fort was where British and Canadian troops mounted a last stand during the Battle of Hong Kong. The survivors surrendered to Japanese forces in December 1941. The fort, which was the former British Army barracks in Stanley, is now occupied by the People's Liberation Army following the transfer of sovereignty over Hong Kong to the People's Republic of China in 1997.

Stanley Market [2] and Pat Kan Uk
Main article: Stanley Market
Stanley Market
Tin Hau Temple
Stanley Market [3] is situated in Stanley New Street near the Stanley food market. It is an array of small shops and street stalls.
Pat Kan Uk is a row of eight houses. Many people think they are abandoned pre-war buildings but each of them is still a home to local elders. There were eight houses belonging to farming families in Wong Ma Kok before the Sino-Japanese War. The government recovered the land to develop barracks and a terrace of eight houses was built here as relocation homes for the local residents.
Stanley Main Street
Stanley has many bars and restaurants on its waterfront along Stanley Main Street.
To the west of Stanley Main Street, past the amphitheatre in Stanley Plaza is the Tin Hau Temple (Temple of the Queen of Heaven). Built by Cheung Po Tsai in 1767, it is one of the oldest temples in Hong Kong.
Murray House
Murray House
Main article: Murray House
Murray House is a Victorian-era building originally built in the present-day business district of Central in 1846 as officers' quarters of the Murray Barracks, the building was relocated to Stanley during the 2000s.
Stanley Plaza [4]
Adjacent to Murray House and Lung Tak Court, Stanley Plaza opened in 2001. It includes a shopping arcade and an outdoor community amphitheatre. The complex is owned by The Link REIT. Numerous free concerts and events are held in the amphitheatre throughout the year. In November 2011 Stanley Plaza reopened after a major renovation which was part of the transfer from government ownership to Link REIT ownership. A number of Asian and western restaurants, a good supermarket, Starbucks, McDonald's and a variety of shops can be found in Stanley Plaza. Well integrated with the Stanley Main Street waterfront and historic Murray House, Stanley Plaza provides convenient access to nearby tourist spots such as Tin Hau Temple and Stanley Ma Hang Park.

HONG KONG, CHINA TRAVEL: Hong Kong Museum of History, Kowloon
This is at the foyer of the Hong Kong Museum of History. It's highly recommended, and I am glad I did it on Day 02, my first day out, as it gave me an extended insight into everything I saw. It covers everything from what Hong Kong was like physically during the dawn of time to Hong Kong becoming part of China only 14 years ago. Probably one of my favourite themed museums ever, my 2nd favourite museum behind British Museum in London. If you want to soak it all in, I would suggest a minimum of 3 hours to be had.
