Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant is a village, a community and an ecclesiastical parish in the extreme north of Powys, Wales; about 9 miles west of Oswestry and 12 miles south of Llangollen, on the B4580. It lies near the foothills of the Berwyn mountains on the river Rhaeadr. At the top end of the valley is the Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall, one ofthe Seven Wonders of Wales in the old rhyme. One mile north of the village is the hill Moel Hen-fache . It was an important site in the ancient commote of Mochnant, as indicated by the ym-Mochnant in its name .Until 1974, Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant was split into two civil parishes: the northern parish was in historic Denbi...

1. Portmeirion Village Portmeirion
Portmeirion is a tourist village in Gwynedd, North Wales. It was designed and built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis between 1925 and 1975 in the style of an Italian village, and is now owned by a charitable trust. The village is located in the community of Penrhyndeudraeth, on the estuary of the River Dwyryd, 2 miles south east of Porthmadog, and 1 mile from Minffordd railway station. Portmeirion has served as the location for numerous films and television shows, and was The Village in the 1960s television show The Prisoner.

Powys - Llanfyllin 4K

A beautiful small town (don't say village to the locals, it brings out the worst!) hidden between the hillsides within the county of Powys, an ancient kingdom covering a large proportion of Wales and the English Midlands following the withdrawal of Romans from Britain. What a lovely part of the country and well worth visiting. There are lots of scenic places to visit nearby, including Lake Vrnwy.

One of the many wonders of North Wales is Pistyll Rhaeadr where peace and tranquility can be found. This is the longest waterfall in Wales and is more than twice the drop of Niagara. A beautiful location nestled into the Berwyn Mountain range at about 15 miles east of Oswestry.
