Valemount is a village municipality of 1,018 people in east central British Columbia, Canada located 320 kilometres from Kamloops, British Columbia. It is situated between the Rocky, Monashee, and Cariboo Mountains. It is the nearest community to the west of Jasper National Park, and is also the nearest community to Mount Robson Provincial Park, which features Mount Robson, the tallest mountain in the Canadian Rockies. 1. Mt. Robson Mount Robson
Mount Robson is the most prominent mountain in North America's Rocky Mountain range; it is also the highest point in the Canadian Rockies. The mountain is located entirely within Mount Robson Provincial Park of British Columbia, and is part of the Rainbow Range. Mount Robson is the second highest peak entirely in British Columbia, behind Mount Waddington in the Coast Range. The south face of Mount Robson is clearly visible from the Yellowhead Highway , and is commonly photographed along this route. Mount Robson was likely named after Colin Robertson, who worked for both the North West Company and the Hudson’s Bay Company at various times in the early 19th century, though there was confusion over the name as many assumed it to have been named for John Robson, an early premier of British C...

We’ve traveled to Canada with Scenic to catch up with Ted, the Harley-Davidson riding bad-boy who has this amazing scenery as his backyard. If you want to check the national park out this has got to be the best way to do it.

What’s the magic for you that keeps you coming out here every day?

The Harley tour has to be the most unique way to explore Jasper.

There’s 1500cc of Harley engine guiding you through one of the most
picturesque parts of Canada. This is quite an experience.

Jasper National Park is huge. It spans over 10,000 square kilometres and with its World Heritage listing it's one of the most visited destinations in the country.

Canada: the scenic highway from Jasper to Clearwater

leaving the Jasper national Park the highway approaches Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. There is a good view of the mountain from the road. Later the highway reach Valemount, with continual views of the peaks of the Premier Range. From Valemount on the highway follow the course of the Fraser river, with beautiful views of the valley and mountains. It is salmon country, with a national hatchery. At Clearwater is the Clearwater Lake, very popular in the summer.

Jasper to Valemount time lapse road trip

Travelling through Mount Robson park from Jasper Alberta to Valemount BC. Turned on the time lapse on the galaxy nexus and it worked perfectly. Trip towards the end of February, so it's pretty snowy, but the roads weren't all that bad. Tomorrow we plan to take the gold rush trail and film that in time lapse.
