Ravensburg is a town in Upper Swabia in Southern Germany, capital of the district of Ravensburg, Baden-Württemberg.
Ravensburg was first mentioned in 1088. In the Middle Ages, it was an Imperial Free City and an important trading centre. The Great Ravensburg Trading Society (Große Ravensburger Handelsgesellschaft) owned shops and trading companies all over Europe.
The historic town centre is still very much intact, including three town gates and over 10 towers of the medieval fortification.

Frankfurt am Main (German pronunciation: [ˈfʁaŋkfʊɐ̯t am ˈmaɪ̯n] ( listen)) is a metropolis and the largest city in the German state of Hesse and the fifth-largest city in Germany, with a 2015 population of 731,095 within its administrative boundaries,[4] and 2.3 million in its urban area.[2][5] The city is at the centre of the larger Frankfurt Rhine-Main Metropolitan Region, which has a population of 5.8 million[1] and is Germany's second-largest metropolitan region after Rhine-Ruhr. Im Verlauf des Deutschen Krieges von Preußen annektiert, verlor Frankfurt 1866 seine Souveränität als unabhängiger Stadtstaat. Seit 1875 zählte Frankfurt am Main über 100.000 Einwohner, seit 1928 mehr als 500.000. Als Zeichen der Verpflichtung zur europäischen Einigung nennt sich Frankfurt am Main seit 1998 Europastadt.[4]
