Piecemaker - Rolls-Royce Griffon V12 Engine - 1600hp!!! - Epic Flames & Pure Sound!
At the fourth stage of the 2017 Italian Tractor Pulling Championship that took place in Bicinicco (Ud) I was impressed by the incredible Piecemaker owned by Maik and Peter Straatman from Munchen (Germany). The tractor takes part in the 950 kg Modified Unlimited category and is powered by a huge Rolls-Royce Griffon V12 engine that develops about 1.600 hp at 3.000 rpm. Look at the flames!!! Damn, is really epic to see it in action at the night stage! I want to thanks Peter to give me their onboard camera footage and I'm so glad to have realized this video. Alla quarta tappa 2017 del campionato Italiano di tractor pulling svoltasi a Bicinicco (Ud) sono rimasto impressionato dall'incredibile Piecemaker che appartiene a Maik and Peter Straatman da Monaco di Baviera, Germania. Il tmezzo gareggia nella categoria 950kg Unlimited Modified ed è spinto da un grosso motore V12 Rolls-Royce Griffon da 40.600cc e che sviluppa 1.600cv a 3,000 giri/min. Vederlo nella tirata notturna, con le sue fiamme spettacolari è stato davvero emozionante! Ringrazio Peter per avermi fornito i video on-board che mi hanno permesso di creare questo video. Tractor Pulling Italy 2017 - Powerful Engines, Turbo Sounds, Flames, Show & More!!
Yesterday I went to record my very first Tractor Pulling event. It's also called Power Pulling or Truck and Tractor Pulling and it's a very old motorsport widely popular in the US, Germany, Denmark, Nederlands and Australia.
It consists in modified tractors and trucks that have to pull a heavy sled (each class have its own wheigt to pull) along a 100 mt (330 foot) long track. Pulling the sled for the whole track is called a full pull and the tractor that pulls the sled the farthest distance is declared the winner. If more than one competitor reaches the full pull mark, a pull-off is held to determine a winner.
The sled contains a box filled with weight that is mechanically winched forward as the sled progresses along the course. As it is pulled down the track, the weight is transferred from over the rear axles and towards the front of the sled so the farther the tractor pulls the sled, the more difficult it gets.
Tractor pulling is known as the world's most powerful motorsport, due to the multi-engined modified tractors.
This video I made contains only the qualifying pulls and it's from the 3rd round of the Italian Tractor Pulling Championship held in Agazzino. The type of terrain was really challenging so I couldn't appreciate the real power of some of this monsters, forced to leave the throttle soon in order to avoid breakages, damages or other heavy failures. Hope you like it beacuse I'm quite in love with what I saw and hear, just like that flutter at 6:13, those flames at 8:10, that triple engined monster (each engine is a 28-litre V12 engine with around 3000 hp...) or those mighty trucks!
---I'm sorry but I don't know the exact specs and classes of each machine but I place the scenes in chronological order, starting with the less powerful class, than Pro Stock class (from 5:17 to 8:32), the heavily modified monsters (8:35 to 11:56) and finally the truck class.
D&D Star Team - The Joker (8:39) is powered by a Curtiss Wright R3350 radial 18 cylinders engine, same engine of the B-29 bomber with more than 3000hp.
Splendido Team - Sota Spirit (9:25) has a double Chevrolet 540 Big Block Superharged engines.
Team Turbo 2000 - Tornado 2 (9:56) is powered by three Allison 28-litre V12 aircraft engines with 3000hp each.
Rocco Power Team - Four NoHemi (11:28) powered by four Hemi 8.6-litre supercharged V8 engines with a combined power around 10,000 hp.

The first stage of the 2017 Italian tractor pulling championship took place at the Bologna North Park park Arena. 18 tractors came out on the track giving a great night show. Like happened in the past years, the heavy modified 4,2t category was the most spectacular and battled with a final fight between the Tornado 2 by Team Turbo 2000 and the ever-competitive FourNoHemi by Rocco Power Team. Nice surprise also to see the Austrian team who came with the great and spectacular Aspirateur moved by three helicopter turbines. Among the beautiful pulls I want remember the great Coyote performance that after years of work has begun to show its remarkable potential and congrats to Chiggiato and his Tanko Truck which in this first official race have impressed everyone. I want to thanks the ITPO organization ( Mauro Stella, Erica d'Amora and all the guys that allow me to film the race and spend another pleasant Sunday! La prima tappa 2017 del campionato Italiano di tractor pulling è stata un ritorno molto atteso e si è svolta presso l'arena parco Nord di Bologna. 18 mezzi si sono presentati al via dando uno spettacolo molto bello in notturna e come già era capitato in passato la categoria Libero 42 è stata la più spettacolare e battagliata con una prova finale di forza fra il ritrovato Tornado 2 del Team Turbo 2000 ed il sempre competitivo FourNoHemi del Rocco Power Team. Un applauso al team Austriaco che si è presentato con il mitico e spettacolare Aspirateur mosso da tre turbine da elicottero. Fra le bellissime tirate voglio segnalare quella del Coyote che dopo anni di lavoro ha iniziato a mostrare il suo notevole potenziale e complimenti a Chiggiato ed al truck Tanko che come prima gara ufficiale ha lasciato tutti favorevolmente colpiti. Tanto divertimento, sfiammate ed impennate che son convinto siano piaciute al pubblico. Ringrazio l'organizzazione di ITPO ( Mauro Stella, Erica d'Amora e tutti i ragazzi per avermi concesso di filmare la gara e passare un'altra piacevole Domenica! The gorgeous truck races on the Misano circuit by the FIA European Truck racing Championship, the only Italian stage, are becoming, in my opinion, an unmissable appointment. I needed only a few minutes to remember how beautiful this event is, an unconventional kind of motorsport where passion and big truck fighting wheel to wheel! Finally, this 2017 edition gave us a wonderful weather and the Saturday races were really nice! Enjoy this highlight video and see you next year!
Le splendide gare dei camion sulla pista di Misano per il FIA European Truck racing Championship, unica tappa italiana stanno diventando, per quel che mi riguarda, un appuntamento fisso ed immancabile. Mi son serviti pochi minuti per ricordare quanto è bello questo ambiente, un tipo non convenzionale di motorsport fatto di tanta passione e grandiosi bisonti che combattono come se fossero gare di auto nel campionato Turismo! Tractor Pulling Ospedaletto Euganeo 2018 - ITPO - Explosions, Flames & Pure Sound!
The first stage of 2018 Italian tractor pulling championship was a highly anticipated return and took place at the Ospedaletto Euganeo (Pd) track. Many tractors during the winter have undergone radical changes while new ones have been added. With a line-up of competitors not yet complete we have witnessed a very promising performance of the Coyote and Starlight Express 3 in the Modified 2.5t category, the Toro by Team Ancarani in the Prostock class and between the trucks, the Sniper and the 2017 champion Brio by Team Bacchilega are already in great shape. In the Heavy Modified class, all 3 competitors appeared competitive with a test of strength by Tornado 2. Beautiful and fierce the new Farm Stock category that in 2018 will give great satisfaction thank to Nafta Power Team and Team Franceschin. As you can see the twists were not missed, wishing the Fordino to return soon competitive after the intercooler burst during its qualifying session. La prima tappa 2018 del campionato Italiano di tractor pulling è stata un ritorno molto atteso e si è svolta presso la pista di Ospedaletto Euganeo (Pd). Per tutti i mezzi è stata la prima tirata ufficiale del'anno e molti di loro durante l'inverno hanno subito cambiamenti radicali mentri nuove macchine si sono aggiunte. Con una line-up di concorrenti non ancora al completo abbiamo assistito a preformance molto promettenti del Coyote e dello Starlight Express 3 nella categoria Libero 2,5t, il Toro Blu del Team ancarani della categoria Prostock e tra i camion lo Sniper ed il campione Brio del Team Bacchilega sono già in grande forma. Nella classe Heavy Modified tutti e 3 i concorrenti sono apparsi competitivi con una prova di forza da parte del Tornado 2. Bella ed agguerrita la nuova categoria Farm Stock che nel 2018 regalerà grandi soddisfazioni targate Nafta Power Team e Team Franchin. Come potrete vedere i colpi di scena non sono mancati augurando al Fordino di tornare presto competitivo dopo lo scoppio dell'intercooler in classe Pro Stock. Tractor Pulling Cervarese Santa Croce 2017 - ITPO - Pure Sound!
The second stage of the 2017 Italian tractor pulling championship took place at Cervarese Santa Croce Pulling Arena. Over 20 tractors cames to giving a great night show. Like happened in the past years, the heavy modified 4,2t category was the most spectacular and battled with a final fight between the Tornado 2 by Team Turbo 2000 and the ever-competitive FourNoHemi by Rocco Power Team. Nice surprise also to see the German team owners of the great and spectacular Best Solution who usually run in the Super Stock category, something not yet present in Italy. Among the beautiful pulls I want remember the great performance of all trucks present with new entries like Tornado and Sniper, both competitive. Congrats to Chiggiato and his Tanko Truck which in this second official race have impressed everyone. I want to dedicate this video to Manuel and Andrea, our two friends which unfortunately have flown to heaven too soon...

La seconda tappa 2017 del campionato Italiano di tractor pulling è stata un ritorno molto atteso e si è svolta presso la formidabile arena di Cervarese Santa Croce (Pd). Oltre 20 mezzi si sono presentati al via dando uno spettacolo molto bello in notturna e come già era capitato in passato la categoria Libero 42 è stata la più spettacolare e battagliata con una prova finale di forza fra il ritrovato Tornado 2 del Team Turbo 2000 ed il sempre competitivo FourNoHemi del Rocco Power Team. Un applauso al team Tedesco che si è presentato con lo spettacolare Best Solutio, trattore che gareggia nella categoria Super Stock attualmente non presente in Italia. Stiamo parlando di un mezzo da 3.500 cv alimentato a Metanolo... Fra le bellissime tirate voglio segnalare quelle dei truck, ben 5 presenti a questa gara con un paio di new entry subito competitivi come il Tornado e lo Sniper. Complimenti a Chiggiato ed al truck Tanko che come seconda gara ufficiale hanno nuovamente lasciato tutti favorevolmente colpiti. Tractor Pulling Jolanda di Savoia 2017 - ITPO - Pure Sound & Flames!
The fifth and last stage of the 2017 Italian Tractor Pulling championship took place at the Jolanda di Savoia (Fe) town and it was a very nice show! Looking the Fast Pulling category we immediately understood that it would be a real battle from Zambaldo, Matley, Road Runner and Fiat 1000 tractors that pulled as Jolanda was the last race of life, giving us a couple of magnificent Pull Offs. In the next category we've seen spectacular performances from Joker and its radial engine who makes this machine configuration one of the rarest from all the European panorama. Beautiful and consistent the races from Emanuele Mazza's Coyote that seems to have finally found the quadrature of the circle and a big applause to Romano Mozzoni, on the ground for the first time with the renewed Stirlight Express 3. The Pro Stock class crowned again the Landini like italian champion (13 titles...) and immediately behind, second place, the Fabio Ronga's Fordino, the real championship revelation. We need to mention the most beautiful Attila pull ever, a Tornado 2 that with Baroncini behind the wheels literally flown and congrats to Davide Rocco, for the first time on the pull arena like Four NoHemi drivers, replacing his father Alessandro. Despite the 3-engines configuration in the heavy modified 4,2t classhe he has beautifully competing. A big applause to the Brio and all the guys from BTV Truck Team by Bacchilega Team which becomes the new 2017 Italian truck champion! I want to thank the ITPO organization ( Mauro Stella, Erica d'Amora and all the staff for allowing me to film the race and pass another nice Saturday night! Enjoy the video and see you next year!
La quinta ed ultima tappa del campionato Italiano di tractor pulling 2017 si è svolta come oramai da alcuni anni a questa parte il comune di Jolanda di Savoia ed è stata una vera e propria festa, con dei tiri al limite come poche volte abbiamo assistito quest'anno. Da subito si era in intuito che sarebbe stato spettacolo e battaglia vera perchè già nella categoria Fast Pulling, Zambaldo, Matley, Road Runner e Fiat 1000 ha tirato come se fosse l'ultima gara della vita, regalandoci un paio di splendidi Pull Off. Salendo di grado abbiamo assistito alle spettacolari performance del Joker che montando un motore stellare ne fa uno dei mezzi più rari, in questa conformazione, nel panorama europeo. Bella e consistente la prestazione del Coyote di Emanuele Mazza che sembra finalmente aver trovato la quadratura del cerchio mentre un applauso a Romano Mozzoni che per la prima volta è sceso con il rinnovato Starlight Express 3. Nella Pro Stock è stato incoronato il Landini come campione italiano per la 13a volta e subito dietro il Fordino di Fabio Ronga, vera rivelazione del campionato. Da citare il categoria Heavy Modified 4,2t la più bella tirata di Attila che abbiamo mai visto, un Tornado 2 che Baroncini alla guida ha fatto letteralmente volare ed un applauso a Davide Rocco che per la prima volta ha preso il volante sostituendo il babbo Alessandro e nonostante la configurazione a 3 motori ha magnificamente figurato. Un applauso al Brio del Team Bacchilega che nella sezione Truck è diventato il nuovo campione italiano! Ringrazio l'organizzazione di ITPO ( Mauro Stella, Erica d'Amora e tutti i ragazzi per avermi concesso di filmare la gara e passare un'altro piacevole Sabato sera! L'aspirateur - 3x Turbines Isotov TV2 - 4.800hp!!! - Tractor Pulling Bologna ITPO 2017
The first stage of the 2017 Italian Tractor Pulling Championship took place at the Bologna North Park park Arena where we saw the Austrian Team Obruly with their impressive Aspirateur. Built in 2007, it's equipped with 3 helicopter models Isotov TV2 turbines that together provide a power of about 4,800 hp. They took part at the 4,2t race, the most heavy in the current Italian championship. We want to thank the Austrian crew for given us a very beautiful show with a kind of vehicle that in Europe you can see only in a few units.

Costruito nel 2007 è equipaggiato con 3 turbine da elicottero modello Isotov TV2 che permettono insieme una potenza di circa 4.800cv. Hanno preso parte alla gara nella categoria 4,2t, la più impegnativa nell'attuale campionato italiano. Ringraziamo il team Austriaco per averci regalato uno spettacolo molto bello con un tipo di mezzo che per costruzione vanta pochi esemplari in Europa. Un grande grazie anche all'organizzazione di ITPO ( Mauro Stella, Erica d'Amora e tutti i ragazzi per avermi concesso di filmare la gara. Un saluto inoltre a Tractor Pulling Mania ( punto di riferimento italiano per gli amanti di questa disciplina. Buona visione ed arrivederci alla prossima competizione.

During the second weekend of May was held at the Autodromo di Modena the 1st ACI Sport acceleration trophy with the Sadurano Motorsport timekeepers. I must say a nice event, with impressive cars who performed several 200mt drag launches (1/8 miles drag). Here in the video a selection of of powerful diesel cars like the BMW 330d and the Audi A5 3.0 TDi. Honestly I wasn't very convinced of their engines performance but, If we exclude that look like tractor pulling at the start, for the rest, due to an enormous torque and turbo, theese cars have respectable performance! Il secondo week-end di Maggio ha preso il via presso l'autodromo di Modena il 1° Trofeo ACI Sport accelerazione con i cronometristi di Sadurano Motorsport. Devo dire un bell'evento, con notevoli vetture che hanno effettuato diversi lanci sui 200 metri del rettilineo (1/8 miles drag). Qui riprese una selezione di auto diesel molto potenti come la BMW 330d e l'Audi A5 3.0 TDi. Onestamente non avevo mai visto gareggiare auto a gasolio. Se escludiamo che sembrano dei tractor pulling in partenza, per il resto l'enorme coppia ed il turbo generano prestazioni di tutto rispetto! Buon divertimento ;-)

Some Highlights from the 8° Franciacorta Rally Show 2016 second day. Really unfortunate day for Stefano D'Aste on the Citroen DS3 WRC that has seen jumping off the whee in the first P.S. and mechanical problems in the second P.S. that led him to final withdrawal. For the other competitors lots of fun and fighting in one of the first events that opens the 2016 season. Enjoy!
Alcuni Highlights della seconda giornata di rally sul circuito di Franciacorta. Una finestra temporale di sole ha visto gli oltre 80 equipaggi darsi battaglia con 9 WRC fra 1.6 e 2.0 presenti al via.
Davvero sfortunato Stefano D'Aste sulla Citroen DS3 WRC che ha visto saltare via la ruota per la rottura di un cerchio nella prima p.s. e problemi meccanici nella seconda p.s. lo hanno definitivamente portato al ritiro dalla competizione. Lotta serrata e tanto divertimento per uno dei primi eventi che apre la stagione 2016. Buon divertimento!
