„Ick bün al hier! (I'm already here!) is how the saying goes in charming Low German (Plattdüütsch) in the fairytale of the race between the hare and the hedgehog. Buxtehude- the scene of the famous race- is located near Hamburg and can be reached in approximately half an hour with the city railway.
Guests should take some time to explore the historic Old Town, with its half-timbered houses, the St. Petri church, and the Fleth.
Worth seeing are the permanent exhibition on regional history and the changing art exhibitions, and special exhibitions, in the Buxtehude Museum. Regional and international artists present their works in the Marschtorzwinger, the Cultural Forum at the harbour, and in the city. In addition to the Halepaghen stage, and the Theater im Hinterhof (theater in the back courtyard), the Buxtehude Kleinkunstigel (Buxtehude Hedgehog Cabaret) also offers diverse theater and concert programs as well as cultural delicacies.

The Buxtehude International Music Festival with Haiou Zhang in July is a unique experience.

A very special way of life, with fairytale opportunities, can be enjoyed in the lively Hanseatic city. Celebrations are a top priority in Buxtehude: old town festivals, flea markets, marksmen's festivals, a Pentecostal market, wine festival, Rally cross, harvest festivals, advents markets, etc. are only some of the highlights. ehem. Bundesstraße 75 Bremen Richtung Hamburg (von Bremen-Sebaldsbrück nach Stuckenborstel)

Die Bundesstraße 75 führte ursprünglich von Lübeck über Hamburg und Bremen an die niederländische Grenze. Zum großen Teil ist sie inzwischen durch Autobahnen ersetzt worden und endet nun in Delmenhorst. Zwischen der Anschlussstelle Stuckenborstel an der Autobahn 1 und der Autobahn 27 in Bremen wurde sie zur Landstraße herabgestuft, da die Autobahnen den Fernverkehr übernommen haben.
