County Wicklow is a county in Ireland. The last of the traditional 32 counties to be formed, as late as 1606, it is part of the Mid-East Region and is also located in the province of Leinster. It is named after the town of Wicklow, which derives from the Old Norse name Víkingaló, which means Vikings' Meadow. Wicklow County Council is the local authority for the county. The population of the county is 142,332 according to the 2016 census. Wicklow is colloquially known as the Garden of Ireland.     Powerscourt Estate , located in Enniskerry, County Wicklow, Ireland, is a large country estate which is noted for its house and landscaped gardens, today occupying 19 hectares . The house, originally a 13th-century castle, was extensively altered during the 18th century by German architect Richard Cassels, starting in 1731 and finishing in 1741. A fire in 1974 left the house lying as a shell until it was renovated in 1996. Originally the family seat of the Viscounts Powerscourt, the estate has been owned by the Slazenger family, founders and former owners of the Slazenger sporting goods business, since 1961.     Killruddery House is a large country house on the southern outskirts of Bray in County Wicklow, Ireland, approximately 20 km south of Dublin. The present structure is a south facing multi-bay mansion, originally dating from the 17th century, but remodelled and extended in 1820 in the Elizabethan style. It is constructed as variously single, two, three and four storeys in the shape of an irregular quadrangle enclosing a courtyard. To the north an office wing incorporates the 17th-century portion and to the south and west is a large domed conservatory. The house sits within a large landscaped demesne which features a pair of long parallel canals in front of the house.

    Greenan is a village in County Wicklow, Ireland. Nearby are the towns of Rathdrum and Aughrim along with the glaciated valleys of Glendalough and Glenmalure. The name is spelled 'Greenane' on older signs in the village ; the modern version drops the final 'e'. Greenan is also the name of a crossing in County Monaghan, Ireland. Its coordinates are 54° 11' 33 North, 7° 4' 37 West. On the main road, there are a few houses and also a primary school named Greenans Cross National School.

    Victor's Way , located near Roundwood, County Wicklow, Ireland, is a privately owned meditation garden notable for its black granite sculptures. The 9-hectare property includes a number of small lakes and forested areas. A plaque by the entrance says the park is dedicated to cryptographer Alan Turing. The park closed in 2015 as Victoria's Way with the owner stating Too may day-trippers came turned it into a fun park for parents with children. It was designed as a contemplative garden for over 28's. but was then re-opened as Victor's Way April 15, 2016 with new age restrictions and higher entrance fee.     The National Botanic Gardens are located in Glasnevin, 5 km north-west of Dublin city centre, Ireland. The 19.5 hectares are situated between Prospect Cemetery and the River Tolka where it forms part of that river's floodplain. The gardens were founded in 1795 by the Dublin Society and are today in State ownership through the Office of Public Works. They hold 20,000 living plants and many millions of dried plant specimens. There are several architecturally notable greenhouses.
