1. Marksburg Castle Braubach
The Marksburg is a castle above the town of Braubach in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is one of the principal sites of the Rhine Gorge UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fortress was used for protection rather than as a residence for royal families. It has a striking example of a bergfried designed as a butter-churn tower. Of the 40 hill castles between Bingen am Rhein and Koblenz the Marksburg was the only one which was never destroyed.

Wiesbaden ist die Landeshauptstadt des deutschen Landes Hessen und mit seinen 15 Thermal- und Mineralquellen[2] eines der ältesten Kurbäder Europas.

In der zweitgrößten Stadt Hessens wohnten Ende Juni 2017 rund 290.000 Menschen.[3] Die kreisfreie Stadt ist eines der zehn Oberzentren des Landes Hessen und bildet mit der angrenzenden rheinland-pfälzischen Landeshauptstadt Mainz ein länderübergreifendes Doppelzentrum mit insgesamt rund 500.000 Einwohnern. Die Agglomeration Wiesbaden zählt etwa 560.000 Einwohner und umfasst neben der Landeshauptstadt den Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis, die Städte Eppstein, Hochheim am Main, Hofheim am Taunus (alle Main-Taunus-Kreis), die Stadt Ginsheim-Gustavsburg sowie die Gemeinde Bischofsheim (beide Kreis Groß-Gerau).
