Walking in MAINZ / Germany - 4K 60fps (UHD)
This sunny Saturday we walk in the city of Mainz. The location at Rhine and the Main river gave it a trade importance, yet it was the Mainzer Johannes Gutenberg which influenced Europe and beyond with his invention of the movable-type printing press.
We start the walk at the central train station and walk towards the Old Town. There we see the busy farmer's market around the Mainzer Dom. In the Rhine area much of the German wine is produced and many people enjoy this sunny day in spring with a drink.
The walk continues and goes back to the train station for a full hour experiencing this city between Frankfurt and Wiesbaden.

Wiesbaden ist die Landeshauptstadt des deutschen Landes Hessen und mit seinen 15 Thermal- und Mineralquellen[2] eines der ältesten Kurbäder Europas.
In der zweitgrößten Stadt Hessens wohnten Ende Juni 2017 rund 290.000 Menschen.[3] Die kreisfreie Stadt ist eines der zehn Oberzentren des Landes Hessen und bildet mit der angrenzenden rheinland-pfälzischen Landeshauptstadt Mainz ein länderübergreifendes Doppelzentrum mit insgesamt rund 500.000 Einwohnern. Die Agglomeration Wiesbaden zählt etwa 560.000 Einwohner und umfasst neben der Landeshauptstadt den Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis, die Städte Eppstein, Hochheim am Main, Hofheim am Taunus (alle Main-Taunus-Kreis), die Stadt Ginsheim-Gustavsburg sowie die Gemeinde Bischofsheim (beide Kreis Groß-Gerau). Die Stadt zählt, neben Frankfurt am Main, Mainz und Darmstadt, zu den Kernstädten der Metropolregion Frankfurt/Rhein-Main. Einige Gebiete gehören gleichzeitig auch zur Stadtregion Frankfurt.
2015 rangierte die Landeshauptstadt Wiesbaden auf dem sechsten Platz der wohlhabendsten Städte Deutschlands über 200.000 Einwohner.[4] Die Stadt wies 2014 mit 113,3 Prozent des Bundesdurchschnitts bzw. mit rund 24.798 Euro pro Erwerbstätigem einen überdurchschnittlichen Kaufkraftindex auf.[5] ...

Das Kloster Hirsau war ein Benediktinerkloster in Hirsau im Nordschwarzwald. Meist meint man damit die Anlage St. Peter und Paul. Im weiteren Sinn umfasst die Bezeichnung jedoch auch deren Vorläufer.
Hirsau (vormals auch Hirschau) war zeitweise eines der bedeutendsten Klöster Deutschlands. Es diente der cluniazensischen Reformbewegung sehr früh als deutscher Stützpunkt. Von hier ging eine Reihe von Klostergründungen aus, aber auch die Erneuerung bestehender Gemeinschaften nach der sogenannten Hirsauer Reform. Zum Zeitpunkt seiner Errichtung im späten 11. Jahrhundert war St. Peter und Paul das baulich größte Kloster im deutschsprachigen Raum. Während des Pfälzischen Erbfolgekriegs brannte die Anlage 1692 aus und verfiel dann.

Hirsau Abbey, formerly known as Hirschau Abbey, was once one of the most important Benedictine abbeys of Germany. It is located in the Hirsau borough of Calw on the northern slopes of the Black Forest mountain range, in the present-day state of Baden-Württemberg. In the 11th and 12th century, the monastery was a centre of the Cluniac Reforms, implemented as Hirsau Reforms in the German lands. The complex was devastated during the War of the Palatine Succession in 1692 and not rebuilt.
