We drove 6 hours north of Bangkok and found a hidden beauty out in Thailand. Khao Kho is stunning and a beautiful getaway from the hustle and bustle in Bangkok. We went to one of the most beautiful temples and a national park. I'd highly recommend the drive, it was well worth the 3 day getaway :)

Phetchabun, Thailand the Top Things To Do
Owing to its relatively cool climate, fresh air and Alpine terrain, Phetchabun is known as the ‘Thai Alps’ or ‘little Switzerland’. The province borders the North, Central and Northeast regions of Thailand and makes a worthwhile stopping off point when passing from one region to the next.
Once notorious for being the scene of a bitter communist insurgency from the 1960’s to 1980’s, the Khao Kho Mountains have since returned to peace and tranquility. Offering some of the best scenic views in the province the area has many points of interest to keep you occupied, from waterfalls, viewpoints and mountain bike trails to war memorials, a Weapons Museum and even a Royal Palace built for the current King, but for many simply driving along stunning stretches of steep winding roads proves to be the highlight of any trip to the area.
For a fascinating glimpse into the provinces’ ancient past, head to Si Thep Historical Park, which contains the ruins of the ancient town of Si Thep, built during the height of the Khmer empire around 1,000 years ago.
For anyone suffering from Temple fatigue we recommend a visit to the unique Wat Pha Sorn Kaew. Loosely translated as ‘Temple on a high glass cliff’, the Wat, just a few years old, is set on a 830 metre peak with a breathtaking backdrop of rugged mountains, and is adorned with over 5 million colourful mosaic tiles. The entire site is a real feast for the senses, and what the Temple may lack in history it more than makes up for in beauty.
Phetchabun is a province teeming with tourist potential, yet remains by in large under the radar of most travelers. But for those willing to take the time to explore, the province is a treasure trove of rich cultural heritage, ancient history and stunning misty mountains, ready to welcome you with open arms and that famous Thai smile.

Destinations in Khao Kho, Phetchabun
Khao Kho is one of the top tourist destination for local Thais due to its beautiful mountainous sceneries and many places of interest to visit. Here, is a 1 hour compilation of places we recommend:
1. Bangrachan Rapid. Known as the Amazon of Thailand, a 2hrs boat ride will awe you with the butterfly sanctuary, a taste of great oranges walking through the nearby plantation, and be at one of the very few places in the world where you can catch a view of Freshwater Jelly fishes.
2. For delicious yet economically priced meals in a cosy environment, Le Kuad Cafe Restaurant, a French Thai fusion outlet, is just the place to be. And don't forget its order its specialty dish of Big Prawn Pad Thai. You can also learn how to cook Pad Thai from the Chef in this video.
3. Khao Kho windmill site, one of the largest in Thailand will allow you to ease you time away, enjoying the mountain view and doing a little shopping for local products at many of its stalls there.
4. Of course not forgetting to roam around this beautiful mountain region early in the morning catching the 1st glimpses of the day starting in Kho Khao.
5. Route 12 Cafe Restaurant is ideal for a break in your busy touring schedule, sipping coffee while strolling around its retro, nostalgic calming environment. And finally,
6. Wat Pha Sorn Keaw temple, with an architecture 2nd to none and undoubtedly one of the most colourful temple buildings in Thailand, your trip to Khao Kho is never complete without visit here.

Koh Samui Top 5 Things To Do
Koh Samui is Thailand’s second largest island and has an area of nearly 230 square kilometers. The easiest way to get here is to fly in, in under an hour from the capital. Or fly to Surat Thani and take a ferry in.
5. Koh Samui’s to-die-for beaches. Chaweng is the most popular beach on the island. It’s 6kms of soft white sand and along the way there is countless bars, restaurants and good shopping. If you like your beaches more private then you should head to Chaweng Cove – a sneaky spot where you can basically swim and sun alone. And a shout out to Lamai Beach for good mix of active and serene.
4. View Point Options on Samui because the island has many hills, its full of incredible places to see the view.
The view Point at Hin Ta Hin Yai is a must see. This is a very popular photo spot and its not just cause the beach is incredibly scenic. The famous rocks here look remarkably like male and female ‘organs’ shall we say. Then for a cheeky 10 baht you can climb to the very top and get a 360 degree view of the whole area and finally the Jungle Club.
3. Spa Options.
Six Senses Samui – each treatment room is set in luxury jungle huts overlooking the ocean and something you HAVE to try if you come here is the Amazing Senses 4 Hands. I swear you will be literally zinging from head to toe.
Tamarind Springs – here the feeling is about being at one with nature. The massage rooms are outdoors and all their staff studies yoga and meditation daily so their energies can be rejuvenating to the clients. Quick tip – don’t miss out on the organic breakfast and post massage juices! But the highlight HAS to be the natural pools and saunas built inside a huge rock.
2. Experiencing Local and International Dishes.
A must do for those who like seafood is the Bophut Fisherman Village. This happens every Friday, and the main streets fill up with food and cute craft vendors. This is a spot for families and there is live music too, but if street delights are your kind of thing then head here with an empty stomach and don’t miss the freshly barbequed items!
For fine dining, my personal pick is Zazen Restaurant at the resort of the same name also in Bophut. If you are in the mood for romance – come here! The restaurant is decked out in Moroccan finery, but serves Mediterranean and Thai infused cuisine.

3 days 2 nights Road Trip - Lopburi . Khao Kho . Khao Yai
Hi guys, it's our first vlog and road trip in Thailand. Hope you guys enjoy it.
The Vlog features some of the lovely place we've visited in Khao Kho & Khao Yai!
Phu Tub Berk, Khao Kho,Phetchabun
Phu Tub Berk, sometimes also spelt Phu Tubberg, can be found in Phetchabun province. Phetchabun is in the lower part of northern Thailand. Phu Tub Berk is the tallest mountain within the province, with a height of almost 1,800 metres. As you journey higher up the mountain you can feel the temperature getting cooler and cooler – make sure you take a sweater, especially if you are planning on spending the night at one of the campsites on the mountainside.
The mountain is home to many people from the Hmong ethnic group. They make a living from farming, and you’ll notice many stalls selling locally grown fresh produce. Many Hmong people wear their traditional dress, and it’s not uncommon to spot groups of small children wearing their customary clothes as they run and play on the mountain.
One of the main products is cabbages and, although this doesn’t sound too interesting at first, seeing the stretching cabbage fields really .The cooler temperatures are also good for growing strawberries. It is possible to go into some fields and you’ll certainly get some great there are also many flower fields that look really beautiful when in bloom.
There are several other places of interest not too far away, including the popular Khao Kho, another mountain that is well-known for its lovely views and Swiss-style resorts, waterfalls, lakes, and temples. Of particular interest is Wat Trai Phum with its.
