    Lesya Ukrainka National Academic Theater of Russian Drama is a theater in Kiev, Ukraine. It is located in a building known as Bourgogne Theatre. Founded in 1926, the theater produces many important plays of Russian and Ukrainian dramatic art. Its repertoire consists of plays by famous playwrights such as Fyodor Dostoevsky, Mikhail Bulgakov and others. Many current movie actors have started their career in the theater. The theatre traces its roots to the Solovtsov theatric troupe that existed in Kiev since 1891 and also performed in the Bourgogne Theatre. Later the troupe was named as the Russian Drama Theatre.

    Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater is a Ukrainian theater in Kiev. The building of the theater was built in 1898 by Eduard Bradtman and G.Shleifer for the Nikolai Solovtsov's Soviety of Drama Actors . The theater was established in 1920 in Vinnytsia as the Vinnytsia Theater of Franko, but it moved to Kiev only in 1926 from Kharkiv. During World War II 1941-44 it was evacuated to Semipalatinsk and Tashkent. Except for that time period, the theater is quartered in the former Solovtsov theater since 1926. The original troupe of Solovtsov theater was dissolved, while some of its members founded the Theater of Russian Drama and moved to the Bourgogne Theater. The theater is located in a park area next to the Bankova Street.
