Noëlle van Lottum is a Dutch former professional tennis player who in the 1990s played for France. Van Lottum was national youth champion both in the Netherlands and France. She played on the WTA Tour from 1987 until 1999, winning one singles and one doubles title. Her career-high singles ranking was World No. 57 and her career-high doubles ranking was World No. 59 . With Virginie Buisson, she holds the record for the longest female match in the French Open; in the first round of the 1995 edition she lost to Buisson after 4 hours and 7 minutes. Nationaal Park De Hoge Veluwe is a Dutch national park in the province of Gelderland near the cities of Ede, Wageningen, Arnhem and Apeldoorn. It is approximately 55 square kilometers in area, consisting of heathlands, sand dunes, and woodlands. It is situated in the Veluwe, the area of the largest terminal moraine in the Netherlands. Most of the landscape of the park and the Veluwe was created during the last Ice Age. The alternating sand dune areas and heathlands may have been caused by human utilization of the surrounding lands. The park forms one of the largest continuous nature reserves in the Netherlands.

Trip to Rotterdam

In meinem Urlaub gab es noch einen kurzen Ausflug nach Rotterdam, welches nur wenige Kilometer von der Küste entfernt ist. Rotterdam ist die zweitgrößte Stadt in den Niederlanden und besitzt den größten Seehafen Europas. Mein Besuch galt aber eher den kleineren und charmanteren Hafenbecken in der Stadt, die mittlerweile umhüllt sind von Wolkenkratzern, was ein ungewöhnliches Bild abgibt. Noch ungewöhnlicher waren die Kubus-Häuser, eine architektonische Meisterleistung und die riesige Erasmusbrücke, die den nördlichen und südlichen Stadtteil verbindet. Mein persönlichstes Highlight war aber der Gang über den „European Walk of Fame wo ich die Handabdrücke von Johnny Cash und natürlich vielen anderen Prominenten entdeckt habe.

In my holiday I take a short trip to Rotterdam, which is only a few kilometers from the coast. Rotterdam is the second largest city in the Netherlands and has the largest seaport in Europe. My visit was rather the smaller and more charming harbor in the city, which are now surrounded by skyscrapers, which gives a curious sight. Even more unusual were the cube houses, an architectural masterpiece and the huge Erasmus Bridge, which connects the north and south part of the city. My most personal highlight was the passage of the European Walk of Fame where I found the handprints of Johnny Cash and, of course, many other celebrities.

The Rose Festival Lottum 2012 - Фестиваль Роз в деревне Lottum כפר ורדים

The Rose Festival is a biennial exhibition of hundreds thousands of roses organized in beautiful rose sculptures, mosaics, and rose gardens in and around Lottum - a village in the Dutch province Limburg, also known as the Rose Village of the Netherlands. Over 70 percent of the rose cultivation in the Netherlands (about 20 million roses) comes from Lottum. The festival 2012 has been decorated around the theme Roses connect cultures.
Music -- by Rowwen Hèze - a great band from the small village called America in Limburg, Netherlands. They are one of the biggest bands singing in a northern dialect of Limburgish.
