This is the castle of William the Conqueror, brother of Adele, who married Odo of Champagne. The video also contains the Abbey aux Dames where Mathilda, William's wife, is buried, and the Abbey aux Hommes, where William is buried. The abbeys are on opposite ends of the road which runs by the castle. Adele (Adelais) and William were full brother and sister. They had several half brothers and sisters from the second marriage of their mother.
