Bioluminescent Kayaking in Florida in Clear Kayaks - Merritt Island | Get Up And Go Kayaking
Get Up and GLOW during bioluminescent kayak season this summer!
Bioluminescence is the emission of light by a living organism. When the organisms move in the water they create a beautiful glowing effect. This means that you can see fish underwater by the glow that they give off as they swim, your paddle will glow as you maneuver the waterways, and the natural flow of water will illuminate these organisms. The great thing about paddling in our clear kayaks is that you can also see the glowing directly below you!
As we are Florida’s premiere bioluminsecent kayaking destination, be sure to book in advance as the season generally runs from June-October and is most visible on the darkest nights with a new moon or no moon rise. Tours are first-come-first-serve, so don’t wait!
Tours take place in the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge just outside of Titusville, Florida. This area is not only home to the bioluminescence, but also large manatee and dolphin populations which both often make appearances during our excursions!

Jungle Cruise at Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park - Old Florida Attraction & Wild Animal Zoo
Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park is home to Florida's original Jungle Cruise and has an original underwater observatory. It's Jubgle Cruise 2019 but This old Florida roadside attraction is also a filming location for some Walt Disney Films. This beautiful state park and wildlife sanctuary is home to many animals. Manatees, Alligators, Bald Eagles, Fish, and a 59 year old hippo named Lu are among some of the many animals you will see here at this Old Florida wildlife Zoo. Let's take another outdoor adventure in what I like to call Old and vintage Florida. There is so much to see and so much ahead.

Visiting Gatorland, Wildlife park in Florida, United States
Gatorland is a 110-acre (45 ha) theme park and wildlife preserve located along South Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando, Florida. It was founded by Owen Godwin in 1949 and has been privately owned by his family since then. Billed as the Alligator Capital of the World, Gatorland features thousands of alligators and crocodiles, a breeding marsh with boardwalk and observation tower, reptile shows, aviary, petting zoo, swamp walk and educational programs. The park is known for buying and rescuing nuisance alligators from trappers that would otherwise be killed for their meat and skin. The Breeding Marsh area of the park was used in the filming of the 1984 movie Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. For more info, visit this:
