The Mudumalai National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary also a declared tiger reserve, lies on the northwestern side of the Nilgiri Hills (Blue Mountains), in Nilgiri District, about 150 kilometres (93 mi) north-west of Coimbatore city in Tamil Nadu. It shares its boundaries with the states of Karnataka and Kerala.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Kurumba Village by Nature resorts at Coonoor, Ooty. The most memorable stay we have ever had in Nilgiris. What we could only see around us was nature. Lust green Spice Plantations, low sound of a brook flowing by, birds chirping around and clutter of empty nut shells falling form the roof top eaten up by Malabar Giant Squirrels. Top 15 Places To Visit In Ooty | Tamil Nadu India
Ooty, also known as Udhagamandalam, is a hill station in the state of Tamil Nadu, in southern India. Surrounded by trees, central Ooty Lake is a huge artificial expanse of water with pleasure boats. On the slopes of nearby Elk Hill, the Rose Garden is home to over 2,000 varieties of roses. The Government Botanical Garden, created in the 19th century, features ferns, orchids and a prehistoric, fossilized tree.
1.The Nilgiri Mountain Railway is a 1,000 mm metre gauge railway in Tamil Nadu, India,
built by the British in 1908, and is operated by the Southern Railway.
2.Pykara Lake
Pykara is the name of a village and river 19 kilometres (12 mi) from Ooty in the Indian State of Tamil Nadu.
3. Botanical Garden
The Gardens, divided into several sections, cover an area of around 55 hectares, and lie on the lower slopes
of Doddabetta peak.
4. Ooty Lake
It is located in the Nilgiris district, Tamil Nadu, India. It covers an area of 65 acres.
The Boat house situated by the lake, which offers boating facilities to tourists, is a major tourist attraction in Ooty.
5. Rose Garden

We were attacked by an elephant at Masinagudi during our jeep safari.
Masinagudi is a bird watchers paradise and an Entomologist's haven. Going with a bird guide can be a great experience. We went with our Birding guide Sidhu (Sidhan) of Jungle hut Resorts into the forests.
We were lucky to see a leopard during our jungle safari in Masinagudi .Trekking at Masinagudi forest in the wilderness of Nilgiris can witness panoramic views of Nilgiri blue Mountain ranges and spot rare wildlife animals and birds. Bandipur is only 24 kilometres from Masinagudi.
There is an Elephant Feeding Camp at Theppakadu where one can interact with elephants and see how they are fed.Museum near the Elephant Feeding Camp is where some animals who once lived in the Mudumalai Forest are preserved.
Moyar River/ Moyar River Gorge running through the dense forest is a good place to see animals when they come to drink water from the river.
Kallatty falls located 30 km from Theppakadu, is a beautiful falls with a breathtaking view.
Masinagudi is a five and a half hour drive from Bangalore on the Mysore- Ooty road. Masinagudi is a good wildlife destination from bangalore and ooty
