Oudenaarde is a Belgian municipality in the Flemish province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the city of Oudenaarde proper and the towns of Bevere, Edelare, Eine, Ename, Heurne, Leupegem, Mater, Melden, Mullem, Nederename, Welden, Volkegem and a part of Ooike. From the 15th to the 18th century, but especially in the 16th century, Oudenaarde was a world-known centre of tapestry production. The town's name, meaning “old field”, still lingers on in “outnal”, an obsolete English term for a kind of brown linen thread.

1. Town Hall and Belfry Oudenaarde
The Town Hall of Oudenaarde, Belgium was built by architect Hendrik van Pede in 1526–1537 to replace the medieval Schepenhuis that occupied the same site. Another older structure, the 14th-century Cloth Hall, was retained and now forms a sort of extension at the back of the Town Hall proper.

9. Kerselare Chapel Oudenaarde
Kerselare is a hamlet in Edelare, a village belonging to the municipality of Oudenaarde in the province of East Flanders, Belgium. Kerselare is host to a pilgrimage chapel, which origins goes back to the 15th century. A new chapel in post-Gothic style was constructed in 1614. This chapel underwent renovation in 1887, but was destroyed by a fire in 1962. A new, post-modernic chapel building arose in 1964 .

10. Menin Gate Memorial Ieper Ypres
The Menin Gate Memorial to the Missing is a war memorial in Ypres, Belgium, dedicated to the British and Commonwealth soldiers who were killed in the Ypres Salient of World War I and whose graves are unknown. The memorial is located at the eastern exit of the town and marks the starting point for one of the main roads out of the town that led Allied soldiers to the front line. Designed by Sir Reginald Blomfield and built and by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, the Menin Gate Memorial was unveiled on 24 July 1927.
