Parkville is a city in Platte County, Missouri, United States and is a part of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. The population was 5,554 at the 2010 census. Parkville is known for its antique shops, art galleries, and historic downtown. Mount Vernon was the plantation of George Washington, the first President of the United States, and his wife, Martha Dandridge Custis Washington. Today the historic mansion, outbuildings, and two museums are open to visitors 365 days a year. The estate is situated on the banks of the Potomac River in Fairfax County, Virginia, near Alexandria, across from Prince George's County, Maryland. The Washington family had owned land in the area since the time of Washington's great-grandfather in 1674. Some Recommendations:
Peach Cobbler: Did not like it at all. No fruit - all crust. Didn't taste good at all!
Banana Split Pie - it was so-so. Would not get it again (doesn't mean you won't like it).
Turkey Melt - which is like a grilled cheese sandwich with turkey on it - was greasy, but otherwise, very good! Would have been much better if it hadn't been so greasy.
Cheese omelette with hash browns and biscuit - was EXCELLENT! The omelette and hash browns were FLUFFY! HUGE biscuit too! Couldn't eat it all.

Site of the first U.S. daylight, peacetime bank robbery. Located on the northeast corner of the historic Liberty Square. Nominal admission charge. Open 10am-4pm Mon.-Sat.

Driving from Omaha, NE to Kansas City, MO via I29

Last night in Omaha was fun; Saw a great show, and discovered a new Gretna. But, I must keep moving on. Today we'll hit Missouri by going through Kansas City, and then move on to Kansas going through Lawrence, Topeka, and Alma before settling for the night in Salina, Kansas.

My Sony HXR-NX100 rode shotgun on a tripod shooting at 4 fps. The tripod was held in place using bungee cords giving it I nice smooth feel, even on bumpy roads. I also used this same camera to shoot various scenes around the country, and to interview folks.
