    Lake Sandoval is a lake in Peru, close to the city of Puerto Maldonado, part of the Madre de Dios in the Amazon basin. There is a touristic hike from the river Madre de Dios to the lake. On the way if you're lucky, you might see parrots, macaws and some other species from the rain forest. The lake is also known for having black caimans and giant otters.

    Lake Yarinacocha is a lake in Peru located in the Ucayali Region, Coronel Portillo Province, Yarinacocha District. It is situated at a height of about 149 metres , about 15.45 km long and 0.82 km at its widest point. Lake Yarinacocha lies west of the Ucayali River and northwest of Pucallpa.

    The Urubamba River or Vilcamayo River is a river in Peru. Upstream it is called Vilcanota River . Within the La Convención Province the naming changes to Urubamba. A partially navigable headwater of the Amazon River, it rises in the Andes to the southeast of Cuzco. It originates on the slopes of Khunurana in the Puno Region, Melgar Province, near the La Raya pass. It flows north-north-west for 724 kilometers before coalescing with the Tambo River to form the Ucayali River. John Walter Gregory, the British geologist, drowned in the river on June 2, 1932 while on a geological expedition to the Andes. The Urubamba is divided into Upper Urubamba and Lower Urubamba, the dividing feature being the Pongo de Mainique, an infamous whitewater canyon.
