Sarlat-la-Canéda, Dordogne - Travel in France
Sarlat-la-Canéda, or simply Sarlat, is a town in the Dordogne department, in Aquitaine in southwestern France. The region is known in France as the Périgord Noir (the Black Périgord).
It is one of the most appealing, and popular, of the Dordogne villages, (or towns). It developed around a large Benedictine abbey of Carolingian origin. The medieval Sarlat Cathedral is dedicated to Saint Sacerdos.
Because Sarlat has been ignored by the events of recent centuries most of the town has been preserved and is representative of 14th century France. Restoration work has been impeccable and authentic.

I few years back I got married and we decided to visit europe, after returning we made up our minds about going back and driving through France and I must say the experience was awesome!
Not only it is very safe to drive there but it also allowed us to change plans at any time, drive through a city and then drive through the night to find unexplored places, all the locals were very friendly (my wife is french so that helped) so we got a chance to visit the not so known places around france.

Concealed in the Dordogne region of Southwest France is a vintage town out of the medieval era known as Monpazier.

Pyrenees - Mont Perdu - UNESCO World Heritage Site
A video of our hike in the gorgeous UNESCO World Heritage site Mont Perdu National Park, part of the spectacular Pyrenees mountain range across Spain, France and Andorra. Although we didn't quite see Mont Perdu itself, we still loved the craggy peaks and roaring waterfalls!
