This is the birthplace of beer known throughout Russia.
It is the old brewery located on the bank of the Volga.
The building was founded in 1880 by Austrian nobleman Alfred von Vacano.
Here you can taste exclusive beer, which is brewed according to original recipes.
Also there is restaurant where you can have a lunch as well.

Alexey Tolstoy lived in this building at the beginning of 20 century.
One of his famous work is Buratino.
Buratino is a fairy-tale character, that is very much like a pinocchio.
Near to the building you can find a monument dedicated to this character.
Inside the building you will see a letters, diaries, photo, books and personal items belonging to the family of Alexei Tolstoy.
The interior of the house bring the visitor to the atmosphere of a provincial town of the turn of XIX-XX centuries.

The collection of the museum has more than 35 thousand exhibits, from the end of 16 to the beginning of the 21st century.
The museum stores the works of the great masters of Russian art, such as Aivazovsky, Repin, Bryullov, Shishkin, etc.

Nowadays it is a pedestrian street in the heart of the historical part of the city.
Here you can find a lot of small shops with souvenirs, clothes and so on that located in beautiful historic buildings.
Also if you are hungry you can easily find place to eat.
For your convenience, there is a lot of cafe's, restaurants and etcetera.
On the weekend you can find a lot of performance and shows on this street.
The street musicians, animators and artists very like to act on this street.
