Spiekeroog is one of the East Frisian Islands, off the North Sea coast of Germany. It is situated between Langeoog to its west, and Wangerooge to its east. The island belongs to the district of Wittmund, in Lower Saxony in Germany. The only village on the island is also called Spiekeroog.The island is part of the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site by the UNESCO and the Wittbülten National Park. Spiekeroog covers an area of 18.25 km2, the shortest distance to the mainland is 5.7 km. The island is, with the exception of fire and rescue vehicles, free of cars. Lange Anna , is a 47 metres high sea stack of Buntsandstein in the North Sea island of Helgoland, Germany. Its real local name is Nathurn Stak . Climbing the stack is not allowed but tourists can look at the rock from a distance. Lange Anna is somewhat similar to the Old Man of Hoy. In 1969 it was declared a natural monument. The stack is subject to severe weathering wear and decomposition. It was decided that any further effort for its conservation could do nothing but slowing down the process, so the Lange Anna today is consigned to its fate. Experts assume an acute danger of collapse of the top two thirds because of an instable layer of sands 16 metres above sea level, which already is the thinnest part of Lange Anna.

After leaving Switzerland, we headed to the spa town of Baden Baden in Germany. In need of some relaxation on our European road trip, we visited at Carasana spa. We are not able to film inside the spa, but it is amazing and really worth the trip. We will be back here on a future road trip.

A tropical holiday in Germany

Experience a holiday as if you were in a true tropical environment! This you can do, surprisingly, in the middle of Germany. European Road Trip Germany - Keeping cool in a van

As we travel in a van on our European road trip, we find ways of keeping cool in a van. We arrived in Germany with temperatures reaching 38 in the van. We were able to find a campsite that allowed swimming in the lake. Keeping plenty of cool ice to hand is also good.

Beautiful white sandy beaches in Langeoog (Germany!)

Travelling far away from home is always exciting. But how about staying in your region? I am a north German guy and I am always excited to go to the North Sea. Langeoog (Ostfriesische Insel) is a beautiful island far away from the busy streets of big cities. No cars allowed, but instead huge white sandy beaches to relax. It is very local and a place where people from all over Germany come to enjoy the nature and clean air. Got you excited? If you have not watched the video, I guess you should now;) Hope I give you a good impression of one of my favorite places in Germany.

Mein Spaziergang durch Basel während der Herbstmesse. Vom Badischen Bahnhof zum Bahnhof SBB.
Mijn wandeling door Bazel tijdens de jaarlijkse herfstkermis. Van het ene naar het andere station.
Jag besökte Basel under höstmässan. En promenad från station till station.
I visited Basel during the Herbstmesse (funfair) and took a walk from the Badischer Bahnhof to the SBB-station.
