Sykkylven is a municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is part of the Sunnmøre region. The administrative centre is the village of Aure. Other villages in the municipality include Ikornnes, Straumgjerde, and Tusvik. The 338-square-kilometre municipality is the 261st largest by area out of the 422 municipalities in Norway. Sykkylven is the 141st most populous municipality in Norway with a population of 7,695. The municipality's population density is 23.4 inhabitants per square kilometre and its population has increased by 3.1% over the last decade.

The Seven Sisters is the 39th tallest waterfall in Norway. The waterfall consists of seven separate streams, and the tallest of the seven has a free fall that measures 250 metres . The waterfall is located along the Geirangerfjorden in Stranda Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The waterfall is located just south of the historic Knivsflå farm, across the fjord from the old Skageflå farm. The falls are about 6.5 kilometres west of the village of Geiranger. It is part of the Geiranger World Heritage Site.

Ålesund

Ålesund is a town and municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is part of the traditional district of Sunnmøre, and the center of the Ålesund Region. It is a sea port, and is noted for its unique concentration of Art Nouveau architecture.
The town of Ålesund is the administrative centre of Ålesund Municipality, as well as the principal shipping town of the Sunnmøre district. Ålesund Municipality has a population of 45,033 as of 2013, while the greater Ålesund urban area has a population of 48,460 (this also includes most of neighboring Sula Municipality as well).

Stranda

A municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is part of the Sunnmøre region. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Stranda.

This is where I did my district or family practice part of Turnustjeneste - which is the Norwegian foundation program or internship between being a medical student and fully authorized physician. I stayed on in Stranda for another 1/2 year as kommunelege - municipal physician, starting my specialization as a general practitioner.

This video is a collection of short clips/outtakes from my stay as a young physician in Stranda - I heartily recommend a visit there, both summer- and wintertime.
