Uppsala is the capital of Uppsala County and the fourth largest city in Sweden, after Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö. It had 149,245 inhabitants in 2015.Located 71 km north of the capital Stockholm, it is also the seat of Uppsala Municipality. Since 1164, Uppsala has been the ecclesiastical centre of Sweden, being the seat of the Archbishop of the Church of Sweden. Uppsala is home to Scandinavia's largest cathedral – Uppsala Cathedral. Founded in 1477, Uppsala University is the oldest centre of higher education in Scandinavia. Among many achievements, the Celsius scale for temperature was invented there.

    Ekolsund Castle is a castle in Sweden. It is situated in Enköping Municipality. The current building consists of two wings designed in the second half of the 17th century by Simon de la Vallée and Nicodemus Tessin. After having been acquired by the King in 1542, it was used by the royal family: It was the residence of Princess Sophia of Sweden from 1578 to 1611.     Mälaren , historically referred to as Lake Malar in English, is the third-largest freshwater lake in Sweden . Its area is 1,140 km² and its greatest depth is 64 m. Mälaren spans 120 kilometers from east to west. The lake drains, from south-west to north-east, into the Baltic Sea through its natural outlets Norrström and Söderström and through the artificial Södertälje Canal and Hammarbyleden waterway. The easternmost bay of Mälaren, in central Stockholm, is called Riddarfjärden. The lake is located in Svealand and bounded by the provinces of Uppland, Södermanland, Närke, and Västmanland.     Kolmården Wildlife Park is a zoo that opened in 1965 overlooking Bråviken bay in Sweden. It is the largest zoo in Scandinavia, includes the first dolphinarium in Scandinavia, which opened in 1969 and has daily shows, and the worlds first cable car safari. The wildlife park also has a birds of prey display and a seal show. In the Marine World area is a roller coaster called The Dolphin Express. Another, larger, roller coaster in the park is Wildfire.
