Vatutinki is a rural locality in Novomoskovsky Administrative Okrug of the federal city of Moscow, Russia, located on the Desna River. Its population as of the 2010 Census was 11,081; up from 9,581 recorded in the 2002 Census.Vatutinki was a part of Leninsky District of Moscow Oblast until July 1, 2012, when a part of that district was merged into Moscow. The village is the location of a GRU base with Space Intelligence Directorate. It manages the Russian space reconnaissance program in coordination with the Fleet Intelligence Direction of the Fifth Directorate.

  • 1. Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery Zvenigorod
    The Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery is a Russian Orthodox monastery dedicated to the feast of the Nativity of the Theotokos. It is the preeminent landmark of Zvenigorod, a town 48 km west of Moscow. In 1398, Prince Yuri of Zvenigorod asked Savva, or Sabbas, one of the first disciples of Sergius of Radonezh, to come to his capital city and set up a monastic abode on the Storozhi Holm . St. Savva of Storozhi was interred in the white stone cathedral of the Virgin's Nativity in 1407. This diminutive, roughly hewn church still stands, although its present-day exquisite look is the result of a 1970s restoration campaign.
