Exploring Wunstorf Germany - Did we see a UFO there ?
In this episode we arrive in Germany. We meet up with our friends Neele & Timo who take us to the town of Wunstorf. A lovely little town and we had a wonderful morning exploring it before sampling some of the goodies from the local bakery.
We were treated to a lovely sunset over a nearby lake.
Then in the morning we had to stop Trudy as we saw a UFO in the sky. What was it that we saw ??

In case you don't know us - let us introduce ourselves - we are Chris (48) & Marianne (51). We recently quit our jobs and sold our belongings to travel full time.
After more than 22 years of marriage we are still best friends - (there's a travel couple goal for you).
The aim is we are going to step foot in every country in the world before we die - or die trying !. We are currently also planning an epic around the world road trip. So stayed tuned for more clips as we TREAD the Globe in either Trudy the TREAD camper van or armed with our backpacks!

This week, I give you a tour of Wundsdorf-Walstadt. The abandoned village was once home to the Soviets, Nazis, 1936 Olympians, and Prussians. Maybe this place should try to cram in some more history? The town, 40 KM from Berlin city center, is now completely abandoned, waiting to for it's next tenant. Currently, the city is starting to convert the beautiful, old buildings into apartments for immigrants and refugees. The Forbidden City as it was once known, is massive and cannot possibly be covered in one day. The section I saw was easily accessible for 30 Euros. Feel free to message me for more info :)

Air & Space Museum 2013
A 2013 visit to the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum at Dulles International Airport, VA.
Video shows aircraft old & new, experimental and warbirds, fixed wing and rotor wing, rockets and the space shuttle DISCOVERY.
Particularly notable was the all electric, solar powered SOLARIMPULSE, that had recently arrived at Dulles after crossing the United States and was on temporary display to the Smithsonian until ready to continue to its next leg to New York, then around the world.
