Zakynthos or Zante , is a Greek island in the Ionian Sea. It is the third largest of the Ionian Islands. Zakynthos is a separate regional unit of the Ionian Islands region, and its only municipality. It covers an area of 405.55 km2 and its coastline is roughly 123 km in length. The name, like all similar names ending in -nthos, is pre-Mycenaean or Pelasgian in origin. In Greek mythology the island was said to be named after Zakynthos, the son of a legendary Arcadian chief Dardanus.     Kalamaki is the name of a beach resort town on the Greek island of Zakynthos. It is located approximately 3 km northeast of the busy resort of Laganas, although despite the close proximity it maintains a much more relaxed atmosphere than its neighbour. It has experienced rapid growth in recent years, due to the growing influx of tourism with the number of charter flights to the area increasing twentyfold between 1983 and 1993. It is located on the south of the island, in the Bay of Laganas. The beach at Kalamaki is also a nesting place for the endangered Loggerhead Sea Turtle. As a consequence, the Greek government declared the beach as part of the National Marine Park of Zakynthos.     Keri is a village and a community in the southern part of the island of Zakynthos. It is situated on a hillside, close to the Ionian Sea coast. Its population in 2011 was 469 for the village and 788 for the community, which includes the villages Apelati, Limni Keriou and Marathias. The community includes the island's southernmost point, Cape Marathia. Keri is 6 km south of Lithakia and 15 km southwest of Zakynthos . The village suffered great damage from the 1953 Ionian earthquake. Keri is also famous for nearby Keri cliffs, rising over 300 m from the Ionian Sea. This location is famous for its sunset. A 9-metre tall lighthouse, built in 1925, sits atop the cliffs.

    Kato Achaia is a town and a community in Achaea, West Greece, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality West Achaea, of which it is the seat of administration. The community Kato Achaia consists of the town Kato Achaia and the villages Alykes, Manetaiikia, Paralia Kato Achaias and Piso Sykea. Nearby are the ruins of the ancient city of Dyme. Kato Achaia is located 1 km south of the Gulf of Patras and 20 km southwest of Patras. The villages Alykes and Paralia Kato Achaias are on the coast. The Greek National Road 9 passes outside the town. Kato Achaia had a train station on the currently unexploited Patras–Pyrgos railway.
