I don't know about you, but I jump at any chance I get to squeeze a quick ride in after a long days work! It doesn't matter if I can't get to my favorite gnarly trail or even if I only get to ride for an hour, these rides are such a great day to melt away the stresses of the day and relax.
I especially love a good solo sunset ride where I can just let my mind wander while I enjoy the natural beauty around me. It's certainly a different kind of ride from my normal shred mentality, but nonetheless it's a type of ride I love and one that serves a very distinct purpose.
Obviously getting to drop back in to work afterwards for a beer with the guys doesn't hurt either ;)
So what about you? Are you able to squeeze rides in before or after work? Let me know in the comments!

I had one day to ride while visiting Colorado a few months ago and when i reached out to my YouTuber buds to ask where i should go, they invited me to join them on one of Colorado's best Epic, the Monarch Crest.
The shuttle driver warned me about the Rainbow Section of the trail. He told me that people are gassed by the time they get there and that last section, with the ups and downs generally is what does people in. We even had two of our group drop off before this section. I considered going with them, but figured i'm not going to be back anytime soon and should strike while the iron was hot.
Despite the suffering, this is the most memorable part of the trail for me. So much fun riding with these guys!!

Colorado Experience: Mountain Biking
Colorado and the west are where American mountain biking began. From the Denver Athletic Club's Pikes Peak summit on bicycles in 1891, to Buffalo Soldiers riding to Yellowstone in 1897, mountain biking has long had a place in Colorado. Its modern debut came in 1978 when mountain biking pioneers from Marin County California visited Crested Butte's 2nd Klunker Tour. since then, Crested Butte has led the state in creating single track and inspiring other towns to cater to this now Olympic sport.
MTB SALIDA - The Monarch Crest Ride You Should've Done (Fooses Creek) | The Singletrack Sampler
We're back in Salida on the Monarch Crest Trail, and today we are going to take the Fooses Creek trail down off of the top. I absolutely love this ride! It's a great option if you don't have the time or energy to complete the entire 33 mile Crest ride. Fooses starts with some high alpine riding and a gnarly drop in. Later on things mellow out with some very fun and flowing riding in what looks like Endor forest. The ride finishes up about 8 miles out of Poncha Springs where you can ride your bike about 40 minutes back into town to hit the local brewery.
Enjoy the ride!

Wet Sedona Mountain Biking
Sedona in the wet isn't the same! With slippery slick rocks and flooded creeks; it was awesome! We did Mescal and Chuckwagon trails which are mostly rocky trails. They hold the water pretty well without getting too soft and muddy. But the Dry Creek wasn't so dry anymore; it was a torrent of melted snow. SO COLD.
The bikes my friends were riding:
• 2017 Specialized Women Rhyme Comp Carbon 650b
• 2017 Pivot Switchblade 650b+
The Pivot was amazing!! Especially in those conditions; it has so much grip with the plus-sized tires.
We rented the bikes at Absolute Bikes Sedona. I was riding my Santa Cruz Bronson.

BIKE 4 FRIENDSHIP: DAY 50 (Sunday, August 19th, 2012)-- THE END: PART 2
The final post-ride vlog of our cross-country cycling ride across America!
My cross-country Bike 4 Friendship journey was a phenomenal experience. My cycling team and I cycled 3,500 miles through 14 states, climbed over 120,000 feet, and spent a total of 210 hours in our bicycle seats over the course of seven weeks, riding through intense 120 degree heat in the deserts of Arizona, up the Rocky Mountains to an elevation of 10,000 feet in Colorado, through two days of pouring rain in Ohio, and even hitting speeds of close to 60mph on the downhills of the Appalachian Mountains in Pennsylvania.
I can't begin to describe to you the feelings that were felt on this day. When I started this journey I didn't know any of the other riders. I was terrified I wouldn't be able to keep up, that I wouldn't bond with my teammates, that I would crash and fail. I had no idea what was ahead of me and could not even begin to fathom the feelings I'd feel for the seven weeks to follow. Feelings of absolute serenity while watching the sun rise over the quiet deserts of Arizona. Feelings of sheer misery as I pushed that last mile up a mountain with none of my teammates in sight. Pain, despair, elation, bliss. Some numbness too, but it was quickly overshadowed. Feelings I never expected to feel and feelings I probably won't ever feel the same way again. I could not have asked for better teammates, better staff members, or better friends. The seven weeks I spent cycling across the United States of America with these guys were some of the absolute best weeks of my life. I would tell you BIKE 4 FRIENDSHIP is phenomenal, superb, amazing, remarkable, exceptional, extraordinary, etc. and it would all be true. But when it comes down to it, there truly are NO WORDS to describe how much this experience meant to me.
When we finally began riding over the George Washington Bridge, crossing over into New York, our fourteenth and final state, looking out at the skyline of Manhattan across the Hudson, it hit me all at once. My eyes swelled with tears and I cried. Tears of joy that we'd finally made it. Tears of sadness that it was coming to an end. We rode our bikes from the Pacific Ocean where we dipped our tires at the start of our journey, to the Atlantic Ocean where we dipped our tires to mark the end. We did something special. We accomplished something great.
I will forever love my team, remember the places, and cherish every single moment of BIKE 4 FRIENDSHIP, without a doubt, the best experience of my life.

FREE CAMPING NEAR THE GREAT SAND DUNES! (AND EXPLORING MESA VERDE NATIONAL PARK)
➝ This Episode:
We are loving our time in Colorado! We start off this episode exploring Great Sand Dunes National Park and then head back to camp to show you a great free camping spot we found on Campendium. We stayed at San Luis State Wildlife Area and get this, we had free 50 amp hookups! They have a dump station on site as well but no water hookups. Not bad for free! We moved to Mesa Verde National Park next and had an absolute blast running around this park. It's safe to say it jumped into our top three National Parks! Jason also upgraded the control panels for our air conditioners; now we're able to control them remotely!

Epic Biking Across United States 2014 (미국 자전거 횡단)
I dedicated this summer of 2014 to bike across USA to raise money and awareness for people with disabilities. I started from Los Angeles, California and ended in Washington, DC in 2 months! We not only biked across America, but we also stopped by local centers that serve people with disabilities and had some great time with people with disabilities. Here is a little trailer of my adventure of the lifetime.

Is SpaceX's Raptor engine the king of rocket engines?
2:55 - Basic physics of rocket engines
6:10 - Rocket engine cycles
20:30 - Rocket fuel comparison
30:40 - Raptor vs other rocket engines
44:05 - Summary
Article version -
SpaceX's new raptor engine is a methane fueled full flow staged combustion cycle engine and its so hard to develop, no engine like this has ever flown before!
Now this topic can be really intimidating so in order to bring the Raptor engine into context, we’re going to do an overview of a few common types of rocket engine cycles then compare the Raptor to a few other common rocket engines, like SpaceX’s current work horse, the Merlin, The Space Shuttle’s RS-25, the RD-180, Blue Origin’s BE-4 and the F-1 engine.
And if that’s not enough, not only is SpaceX using a crazy engine cycle, they’re also going to be using Liquid Methane as their fuel, again something that no orbital rocket has ever used! So we’ll also go over the unique characteristics of liquid methane as a rocket fuel and see if we can figure out why SpaceX went with Methane for the Raptor engine.
We'll also break down and explain all the different engine cycle types so you know what the full flow staged combustion cycle is, how it works, and how it compares to the other cycles.
So by the end of this video hopefully we’ll have the context to know why the raptor engine is special, how it compares to other rocket engines, why it’s using methane and hopefully find out if the Raptor engine will be the new king of rocket engines…

Disclaimer - This video is just a starting point for me, what I felt was the bare minimum (ha) required for me to get this out there so I can move forward with my life, a mix of explanation, justification and opinion. It scratched the surface of several things I could have gone into more detail about, but the purpose of this was to be ..reasonably concise and above all entertaining. In the future, in the right places, I will surely talk much more about everything touched on in this video and more. It’s also likely that something will get misunderstood or misrepresented, perhaps from the way I phrased things or people assuming my thoughts on things that I didn’t specify. Also my story is just the truth of what happened to me and what I thought at certain points of time in my environment, good and bad - of course not my opinions today. So JUST to be clear my opinion on general sexual and gender identities are that everyone is valid and deserves equal rights and the freedom to exist. The only thing I don’t tolerate is intolerance. Cheers to an inevitable bright future, either because people become nice and the old people die or the sun explodes first lmao.
