Bold Coast Puffins Tour: Maine to Machias Seal Island
This video is from a puffins tour offered by Bold Coast Charter Company in Cutler, Maine.
While there are many puffins tours in Maine, Bold Coast Charter Company the only company in Maine authorized to take people ashore Machias Seal Island, where thousands of Atlantic Puffins nest every summer.
Cutler Maine is located in the most north-eastern section of Maine.
A 45 minute boat ride takes you from Cutler's harbor to Machias Seal Island. Ownership of the land is disputed by USA and Canada, but no passport required.
On the island, you'll be escorted to these blinds where you can photograph the puffins and other seabirds through little windows.
In addition to puffins, there are razorbills, common murres and arctic terns, among others.
Video filmed on GoPro Hero 7 Black and Panasonic GX85

Island Cruises - Bass Harbor, Maine 2009
We chose the lunch cruise that leaves at 11:00 am. This is a narrated nature cruise that also goes into the history of the Maine seacoast and islands.
It starts off the shore of old fish factory that is now condos. Then on to Bass Harbor Head Light. From there it goes to the small islands of Blue Hill Bay. All along the way are seagulls and cormorants. Bald eagles and harbor seals.
Then lunch at the Dockside Deli in the village of Frenchboro. We had Grilled cheese sandwiches with ham, a container of homemade potatoe salad and 2 cokes for ten dollars and change.
On the way back the captain pulled a couple lobster pots and explained how it is done.
It was a wonderful clear day and we could see for miles. For us, this trip made our vacation.
We saw - Porpoise, seals, ocean birds, bald eagles, lighthouses - on the island which only has 50 people living on it (they make there living on Lobster fishing)
Very Highly recommend - don't get stuck going on a cruise in bar harbor, you will find this place in Bass Harbor.
How not to visit MAINE: Portland, Bar Harbor, and not enough time - Traveling Robert
Lessons learned about how not to visit a large state like Maine. First we didn't allocate nearly enough time. Second, it was foggy when we went to see the first sunrise in the USA. Third, campground screwed up our reservation. At that point I gave up and decided to go back some other time. Lobster breakfast in Bar Harbor was great.

Pakpod in Jordan Pond & other water bodies - Acadia National Park, Maine
First underwater HD footage of Maine's #1 clearest water body. We have more than 10,000 in the state. Jordan Pond is the water supply for Mt. Desert Island so getting permission to some doing. These clips will become part of a documentary about water clarity and quality. (I was asked to clean the intake as a favor and was happy to oblige.) Thanks to all who made this possible.

Special thanks to our friend Todd for showing us this area and being our local tour guide sharing his knowledge.
We went to the canyon looking for reptile as well as fish but the area was burned about a 2 weeks prior to our arrival and there was literally still burnt animals lying around witch made for a sad day but we were able to find some wildlife that made it threw the blaze thankfully and these fish were hilarious as they literally tried to eat every part of my body and even my face and it's a good think they don't have a very strong bite or very sharp teeth or this might have been a different video.

You can catch Leopard Lizards in California, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Texas but I would suggest sticking to lower elevations in witch ever state you are looking because you will have an extra 1-2 months before the cold sends them into hibernation. some of the states on the list have a smaller range where these animals can be found. We are in the St George Utah at Sand Hollow State Park right next to the lake in Southwestern Utah at about 3000 feet elevation in the last week of May we caught him the first time after chasing him from rock to rock for 9 minutes until he went underneath a rock with a shallow hole and no exit about 2 feet and and I pinned him in place while the family dug him out and measured him at just under 12 inches. This is only the second leopard Lizard that we have seen in 4 months but maybe I just have not found there favorite spots yet. More videos of this animal and many more will be on the way each week until they hide for the winter.
Support Us On PATREON, You can help us make videos more frequently and of a much higher quality with better ( BitRate/FPS/Focus/Macro/Zoom/Sound) and if you hit the higher support tier we will even play games with you online, Xbox & Pc for now but PS4 Pro, Xbox X and switch will come in the next 6 months. We have plans to hang out in person with subs and patrons as well from time to time. Thanks for gettin krazy with with the kids!

Sanibel Island's Ding Darling Wild life drive is paved now...
35 years ago we went here on our honeymoon, it was dirt and gravel and not full of people. Just a nice rough road full of wildlife. I wish is was still un paved, I liked it much better that way.
The J.N. Ding Darling National Wildlife drive is on Sanibel Island in South West Florida. The refuge is part of the largest undeveloped mangrove ecosystem in the United States. Birds, flowers, paved roads, walking trails, and viewing areas. No Jeep is needed, but what better way to drive than top down and doors off.
