Acadia National Park
Acadia National Park is a 47,000-acre Atlantic coast recreation area primarily on Maine's Mount Desert Island. Its landscape is marked by woodland, rocky beaches and glacier-scoured granite peaks such as Cadillac Mountain, the highest point on the United States’ East Coast. Among the wildlife are moose, bear, whales and seabirds. The bayside town of Bar Harbor, with restaurants and shops, is a popular gateway.

Acadia Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about nature park Acadia in the USA.
The Acadia National Park is located in the North Eastern region of Maine in the United States and measures 142 square kilometres The close proximity of the North Atlantic Ocean to the coastal forest landscape is one of the park’s irresistible attractions.During fall, the season in which New England is at its most magnificent, the forests come alive with soft, warm colours and the entire landscape becomes transformed by this ‘fifth season’ of the year. Thunder Hole is a further attraction. Onlookers seem almost awe struck when witnessing the relentless might of the Atlantic and the unexpected sound of thunder that emanates from a small cave within the granite cliffs caused by the sea as it floods into the air-filled cave thus releasing the air pressure from within with fantastic, thunderous effect. Loop Road is a scenic route that travels from coast to countryside and passes a picturesque and charming semi-timbered house, the Jordan Pond Gate House, built by John D. Rockefeller in1932. Created from a glacier, Jordan Pond is relatively deep and at its northern end there are two round hills, the ‘Bubbles’ from the summit of which the vast landscape of the glowing forest below is even more impressive. Cadillac Mountain is the highest point on the North Atlantic coast. The scant vegetation of this area is quite surprising especially as it is in such close proximity to the nearby forests. During September, when the first so-called ‘leaf reports’ are announced in the newspapers and on television, there’s an air of excitement. The beginning of the Indian Summer is the time of the ‘Leaf Peepers.’ Whether they travel to the park by car, foot, horse and carriage or by way of a rented mountain bike, visitors to Acadia’s beautiful forests have a wide selection of leaves from which to choose. During fall, the red and orange of the maple trees and the golden yellow hues of aspen and birch melt together in a breathtaking carpet of colour that seems to cover the entire country. Acadia is a veritable arcadia!

Acadia Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Acadia in England.
From the steep cliffs of New England’s coast to the north of the State of Maine the power of the sea manifests itself. The region is home to the Acadia National Park whose magnificent forests have made it a popular sightseeing destination.Wealthy entrepreneurs were once attracted to the captivating town of Bar Harbour and had their summer homes there. Since then the region has become a little less glamorous but idyllic scenery and picturesque areas such as Jordan Pond are still exceptionally beautiful. As the name Indian Summer suggests, New England’s most well known season dates back to the golden years of the Native American Indian. The warm days at the beginning of autumn were once the most important time of the year for hunting because it was then that the region’s animals grazed prior to the onset of winter. According to legend the strong dark red colour of the leaves symbolized the blood of slaughtered bears. The ‘autumn summer’ was thus closely associated with the Native Indian hunters of old. Even today the Acadia National Park combines all the natural beauty of Maine in a unique way that captivates all those who experience its irresistible charm.

Acadia National Park and Frenchman's Harbor Vacation
I took lots of great photos on our trip up to Maine. We stayed at a comfy little cabin on a beautiful plot of land called, Edge Water Cabins. We saw beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We saw a seal swimming in the bay. We say Thunder Hole, Hiked the Gorham Trail, had popovers at the Jordan Pond House, and had lobster for dinner. All in all, it was a pretty perfect Maine vacation. I hope you enjoy.
Nature at Jordan Pond House | Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor Maine
While waiting to be seated for lunch at the very popular Jordan Pond House in Acadia National Park Bar Harbor Maine I happened upon nature at it's best, pretty flowers, a busy bee and two butterflies. Jordan Pond House restaurant is a tradition of ours. We visit every year for pop-overs, ambiance and a nice lunch with special friends.
Jordan Pond House is located in Acadia National Park.

Here it is! First U.S. National Park visit in the books! We saw puffins, climbed a steep hike, went to Cadillac Mountain, and ate lobster. The locations in this video are the reason I still think about Maine, even though it has been over a month since the trip. This was the first half of our trip to Maine- I'll be uploading another video about the sights we saw in Portland and the surrounding areas since I have more footage!
Remember to go outdoors and always drink your water :)

Acadia National Park 2 - The most of beautiful Place in the world | Run around the Globe
A year-long time-lapse project in Acadia National Park by Will Greene. Started as a senior exhibition project at Mount Desert Island High School, the film spans four seasons with over 35,000 images and 36 hours worth of footage, all compressed into 5 minutes. My hope is that this film inspires others to appreciate and protect Acadia and the natural world as a whole.

_____________________
People have been drawn to the rugged coast of Maine throughout history. Awed by its beauty and diversity, early 20th-century visionaries donated the land that became Acadia National Park. The park is home to many plants and animals, and the tallest mountain on the U.S. Atlantic coast. Today visitors come to Acadia to hike granite peaks, bike historic carriage roads, or relax and enjoy the scenery.
