Visit Kerry Park, Seattle in Washington, United States
Kerry Park is a 1.26 acres (0.51 ha) park on the south slope of Queen Anne Hill in Seattle, Washington, located at the corner of 2nd Avenue W. and W. Highland Drive. According to a plaque on a wall in the park, Kerry Park [was] given to the City in 1927 by Mr. and Mrs. Albert Sperry Kerry, Sr., so that all who stop here may enjoy this view. That view encompasses downtown Seattle, Elliott Bay, the West Seattle peninsula, Bainbridge Island, and Mount Rainier.[1]
The park is sometimes incorrectly referred to by local denizens as Highland Park, a reference to Highland Drive, a highly scenic boulevard that borders the north side of the park. For more info, visit this link:

Seattle City Light and Latino Outdoors
Seattle City Light’s Environmental Equity Program advances social equity, environmental justice, and community-powered leadership on behalf of those most affected by environmental issues.
To learn more about Seattle City Light’s Environmental Equity Program, please see our 2016 Annual Equity Report at seattle.gov/light/wmbe
Video shot by Environmental Equity Program Manager
Christopher Peguero
A key principle underpinning the Environmental Equity Program is the recognition that people of color, immigrants and refugees, people with low incomes and individuals with limited English proficiency tend to be overburdened by health impacts from pollution and environmental issues.
One of the basic ways to transform these outcomes is to create opportunities for environmental justice communities to have access wilderness and natural spaces.
This focus brought a coalition of organizations to meet that opportunity September 22-24th, 2017. The coalition partners who came together were; Latino Outdoors, Seattle City Light, North Cascades Institute, North Cascades Environmental Learning Center, North Cascades National Park and the Greater Seattle YMCA’s Camping and Outdoor Leadership Program. The coalition hopes that this is the beginning of a long term program that continues to center Latino Communities to gain and increase access to the outdoors. Seattle City Light’s Environmental Equity Program is proud to be the main coalition builder and sponsor of this experience.

Seattle's Top Hidden Gems! (Seattle has a museum for WHAT!?) [CC]
Today I'm showing you five not-so-hidden hidden gems to visit in Seattle. Yes, you should totally visit Pike Place Market and the Space Needle, but you should check these out next. From the streets of the International District and Little Saigon to some of the most peculiar museums, there's something for everyone. (And I do mean everyone. How did we even get a dialysis museum? I have so many questions about that.)

Seattle - City Video Guide
Seattle, on the coast between Puget Sound and Lake Washington is one of North America's most beautiful cities.
In Downtown Seattle, you will discover some of the city's oldest buildings around Pioneer Square. The Seattle Waterfront is famous for its seafood restaurants and pleasure cruises, and it's a short, steep climb to Pike Place Market.
A short drive north from downtown brings you to Woodland Park Zoo, the Seattle Museum of Flight, or Lake Union.
The Seattle Center is home to the Pacific Science Center and the popular International Fountain, as well as Seattle's most recognized landmark, the Space Needle. On a clear day, the observation deck at the top offers views as far as Mount Rainier.
Meanwhile Kerry Park on the south side of Queen Anne Hill offers a great view of Seattle and the Space Needle itself, which is particularly impressive when the sun goes down.

Washington: Seattle
Seattle is the largest city in both the state of Washington and the Pacific Northwest region of North America. It's the home for Microsoft, Amazon, Starbucks Coffee and Boeing.
In July 2013, Seattle was the fastest-growing major city in the United States and remained in the Top 5 in May 2015 with an annual growth rate of 2.1%.
The city is situated on an isthmus between Puget Sound (an inlet of the Pacific Ocean) and Lake Washington, about 100 miles (160 km) south of the Canada–United States border. A major gateway for trade with Asia, Seattle is the fourth-largest port in North America in terms of container handling as of 2015.
The video shows a panorama of Seattle seen from the Space Needle: from left, Puget Sound, Magnolia, Queen Anne Hill, Lake Union, Capitol Hill, downtown Seattle, Elliott Bay, and West Seattle.
Also shown is Pike Place Market, overlooking the Elliott Bay waterfront. The Market opened on August 17, 1907, and is one of the oldest continuously operated public farmers' markets in the United States.
