Description: This is a Video flight from Kerry Park on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle Washington. From this park is a great view of Seattle City Center featuring the famous Space needle. It was somewhat cloudy this day which made it hard to clearly see Mt Rainier off to the right of the Space Needle.

Kerry Park is a 1.26 acres (0.51 ha) park on the south slope of Queen Anne Hill in Seattle, Washington, located at the corner of 2nd Avenue W. and W. Highland Drive. According to a plaque on a wall in the park, Kerry Park [was] given to the City in 1927 by Mr. and Mrs. Albert Sperry Kerry, Sr., so that all who stop here may enjoy this view. That view encompasses downtown Seattle, Elliott Bay, the West Seattle peninsula, Bainbridge Island, and Mount Rainier.[1]
The park is sometimes incorrectly referred to by local denizens as Highland Park, a reference to Highland Drive, a highly scenic boulevard that borders the north side of the park. For more info, visit this link:

Ever wonder where all those great shots of Seattle are taken for postcards and promotional material? I sure did - and I eventually found out when I stumbled across Kerry Park.
Located northwest of the downtown core in the Queen Anne neighbourhood, Kerry Park is a tiny strip of land located on a small bluff that offers wonderful views of downtown Seattle, most notably the Space Needle, as well as Elliot Bay and Puget Sound. On clear days, such as today, you can even see the massive Mount Rainier looming in the background.

According to a plaque on a wall in the park, Kerry Park [was] given to the City in 1927 by Mr. and Mrs. Albert Sperry Kerry, Sr., so that all who stop here may enjoy this view. That view encompasses downtown Seattle, Elliott Bay, the West Seattle peninsula, Bainbridge Island, and Mount Rainier.
The park is sometimes incorrectly referred to by local denizens as Highland Park, a reference to Highland Drive, a highly scenic boulevard that borders the north side of the park.
Changing Form, a steel sculpture by artist Doris Totten Chase and given by Mr. and Mrs. Kerry's 3 children, stands 4.6 meters (15 ft) high in the middle of the park. Since installation in 1971, the sculpture has been popular among photographers using it to frame the Seattle skyline or Mt Rainier, and children crawling around its smooth, black curves.
The park was one of the many stops on the finale episode of the third season of The Amazing Race. The park was also featured as the opening scene in the 1999 film 10 Things I Hate About You. In Frasier, the view from Frasier's apartment is in fact a photograph taken from the ledge in the park.
