Superior Township is a civil township of Chippewa County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,337 at the 2010 census.The federally recognized Bay Mills Indian Community has its land base reservation here, based near Brimley. It operates Bay Mills Community College, a tribal college open to the entire community of the Upper Peninsula. It also operates a casino on its reservation, to generate funds for education and welfare of its people.

    Brimley State Park is a public recreation area covering 151 acres on the shore of Whitefish Bay at the far eastern end of Lake Superior in the state of Michigan. It is located on the northeast side of the Village of Brimley, eleven miles southwest of Sault Ste. Marie. The state park was established in 1923 when the village gave the park's first 38 acres to the state for park purposes. The park offers facilities for camping, picnicking, swimming, fishing, and boating.
