Ceresole Reale is a comune in the Metropolitan City of Turin in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 50 kilometres northwest of Turin in the Orco Valley, on the border with France. Ceresole Reale borders the following municipalities: Bonneval-sur-Arc , Groscavallo, Noasca, Rhêmes-Notre-Dame, Val-d'Isère , and Valsavarenche. The communal territory is home to the Gran Paradiso National Park visitors center. The main structure is the large dam, built in 1925–31 by A.E.M. : this formed the Lago di Ceresole , which is now the town's main tourist attraction. Ceresole was the location of the ending cliffhanger scene in the 1969 film The Italian Job.

1. Colle del Nivolet Ceresole Reale
The Nivolet Pass is a mountain pass in the Eastern group of the Graian Alps in northern Italy. It is located at the top of the Orco Valley on the road from Turin to Ceresole Reale, in the Gran Paradiso National Park. Beyond the pass, the road terminates in the upper reaches of the eponymous Valsavarenche valley in the Gran Paradiso mountain group, before the valley descends to Valsavarenche and Villeneuve. The colle forms part of the boundary between the Aosta Valley and the Piemont region. The highest point of the paved road is 2,641 metres . Two artificial lakes, Serrù Lake and Agnel Lake, are located immediately below the pass. The approach road from Agnel Lake was the location of several scenes in the film The Italian Job, including the iconic final bus crash.

It has been so named since the 16th century, but was previously called the Lago di San Giulio, after Saint Julius , the patron saint of the region. Its southern end is about 35 kilometres by rail, to the northwest of Novara on the main Turin-Milan line, while its north end is about 6 kilometres by rail south of the Gravellona-Toce railway station, halfway between Ornavasso and Omegna. Amazing Hike in the Italian Alps (4K)

We spent a day in the Italian Alps and hiked to an altitude of more than 2600 meters during the summer. We walked on snow while we had our summer clothes on. The name of the starting point is Ceresole Reale :)

DJI Mavic Air Frozen lake flight Ceresole Reale Italy 4k 2018 @CruisesAndTravelsBlog

This is my second flight with the DJI Mavic Air and i went to this beautiful location in the north of Italy, Ceresole Reale in the national park of the Gran Paradiso.
Usually in April there's some snow but this time was really snowy there. There was also strong winds and i had some trouble to make a good footage.

This video is images of the route between Nesso and Erno. Climb narrow and accentuated with curves sometimes with 180 degrees, feel the adventure that is driving on these roads.

Gran Paradiso Italy Trekking Circuit

One of Europe's wildest habitats, the Gran Paradiso National Park in northern Italy is home to 1000's of Ibex (Steinbok) and Chamois as well as wolves, foxes and eagles.
