Cheyne Beach Whaling Station is a defunct whaling station in Australia. It now operates as a tourist park known as Albany's Historic Whaling Station. The station is situated in Frenchman Bay in King George Sound and was built in the 1950s, operating until 1978.The station takes its name from Cheynes Beach, a small coastal community located approximately 65 kilometres east of Albany, Western Australia and surrounded by Waychinicup National Park.

Yallingup beach Western Australia,,, sorry about the poor video quality, this was shot in my old nexus 4, btw it was truly breathtaking views down there at yallingup beach. just 3 hours drive down from perth. to me this is the most beautiful beach in the world. Word of warning though. this is a surfing beach so the waves are really strong and dangerous.

We drove from Perth headed towards Albany (400km) to spend two days adventuring. And what we saw was amazing!!

Shoutout to Danny, the owner of 1849 Backpackers in Albany for his outstanding hospitality and the pancake breakfast!!!!

Most of their first time students have managed to stand up by the end of their first learn to surf lesson. Even for those who can already surf, Cheyne holds lessons and surf tips for beginners right through to experienced and advanced surfers.

Easter 2018 at Hoptoun WA

On Easter Sunday we all went West on a 4WD adventure to Quoin Head. Its only about 50kms or so drive from Hopetoun past Culham Inlet and Mt Barren. The headland at Quoin Head protects a beautiful little inlet and beach sheltered from the wind on an otherwise rugged coastline. The drive in is spectacular but fun and definitely a 4WD with good clearance is needed.
We stopped in at Hammersley Inlet on the way back to Hopetoun and had a look around there too. Another great Camping and picnic destination in the Fitzgerald River National Park. I really need to spend a few weeks at Hopetoun to have a really good look around. Plenty of exploring to do thats for sure.

OZ Ball, Gold Coast Attraction

Ozball is a fun outdoor attraction that is suitable for the whole family. With 2 styles of rides harness or hydro - you can ensure everyone will have a great time.
If you are after an adrenalin rush, then the harness ride is for you. Once you are securely strapped into the 3.2m clear plastic inflated ball, you will be pushed down the 130m hill. One or 2 riders can enjoy this at a time. This one is not for the faint hearted.
If fun thrills are more your thing then the hydro ride is the way to go. Up to 3 riders can have a go at this at a time. With 40ltrs of water poured into the ball you jump in and enjoy the slide.
If you feel that you are well balanced and good on your feet then you can take on the hill challenge. All you have to do is stand up and run the whole way down the hill in the hydro ball. If you make it to the bottom still on your feet then you get a free ride!

Sadly this is now permanently closed on the Gold Coast.
